The Swans and Crystal Palace are being linked with a move for Sassuolo Striker Gregoire Defrel although if it comes off it appears to be a move set to underwhelm either set of supporters.

The Swans have a history in recent years of making some very poor striker purchases and on the face of it the possible signing of Defrel will be just that given his pretty uninspiring record.

Today Gazzetta dello Sport reported that the player is attracting interest from the Premier League in the coming transfer window.

Defrel has scored just 7 times in 33 appearances for Sassuolo and just 27 goals in over 160 appearances him his career

It's a no thanks for me and definitely filed under the rubbish category in my view
