The Swans and Manchester City played out an entertaining encounter at the Liberty yesterday afternoon with the home side more than matching the league leaders for more than an hour.

And as you can imagine in the reactions there were some positive comments from the home side and maybe even an element of relief from the away contingent.

"There were good signs. We played better football than we have recently. We looked more organised and played more as a unit.

"That's what we need to do, especially at home.

"We have some more tough games ahead but we have to regroup and go again next week."

Midfielder Leroy Fer

“Four points from six games is not the Swansea level, but I think we showed this weekend what we are about.

“Now we need to continue to show that in the coming games.

“Manchester City are a strong team who play very good football.

“We responded well after they scored their opening goal but did not have enough in us to take anything from the match.

“If we keep playing like this, though, I think we will turn results around. We are creating chances, but we must make sure we take them and scored the goals.”
