Could Emnes Be On His Way?
Monday, 9th Jan 2017 10:09 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

The Swans refused to give Blackburn Rovers permission at the weekend to play Marvin Emnes in the FA Cup sparking fresh speculation that a permanent move could be lined up for the player to leave the Liberty.

Emnes has been on loan at Blackburn for the season and the Swans were approached to give them permission to feature Emnes in their FA Cup tie against QPR - a game that they won 2-1.

The fact that the Swans did not want the player cup-tied has therefore increased the speculation that Emnes is about to make his absence from the Liberty a permanent one or at least a sign that the Swans are finally prepared to move him on.

Emnes has featured 18 times for Blackburn in the league this season, scoring on 3 occasions but given that they were refused permission it would seem that a permanent move there would appear unlikely.

There has been rumoured interest from other Championship sides but nothing concrete beyond those rumours but with the Swans looking to strengthen their side and maximise the budget available to Paul Clement to do so then any offers would surely be listened to carefully and the player possibly moved on.
