Swans "Target" Moves To Wolfsburg

If ever there was proof that paper talk is sometimes just that, yesterday's reported target of Paul-Georges Ntep has today signed for Wolfsburg to become their fourth signing of the transfer window - if only eh?

Yesterday's Sun reported that Stats guru Dan Altman had targeted Ntep as the ideal signing for the Swans but either we tried and missed out or the stats didn't tell us that we needed to move this quick to get him.

The transfer was confirmed on the official Bundesliga website today and he joins on a four-year deal to become their fourth signing of the window following Riechedly Bazoer from AFC Ajax, Yunus Malli of 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Victor Osimhen from the Ultimate Strikers Academy.

"He's a very good and interesting player," Wolfsburg head coach Valerien Ismael said of Ntep.

"With Paul-Georges we've significantly bolstered our quality on the wings. He's incredibly quick, technically well-versed and boasts an enormous amount of potential despite still being quite young.

"With him on board we've become more flexible in a tactical sense and will be harder to anticipate in the final third."

One rumour closed.
