Britton Relief At Swans Safety

Leon Britton is a Swansea legend - if there was any doubt as to whether he should have that tag then the last month has shown just why it is deserved and he needs to take every credit available to him for his part in the Swans great escape from relegation.

He may have just played four games under Paul Clement but they were the most important four games that he could have played in and the ten points that the Swans achieved in those four was over 25% of our season's tally at just the right time.

It is little wonder that the little man and his close on 15 year association with the club was a delighted person yesterday as he watched on from the comfort of a TV studio as Crystal Palace destroyed Hull 4-0 to retain both theirs and the Swans Premier League status at the expense of the Tigers.

"I’m relieved," Britton said. "It’s been a lot of pressure on each game so it’s nice going into the last game against West Brom being able to relax — I’m sure this week in training we can enjoy it a lot more.

"Hopefully we can go into the last game put on a show and get the win but it will be nice being able to go out there without the pressure of having to get the win."
