He may have been released by Southampton but Celtic, Leeds United and the Swans are amongst a host of sides being linked with a move for Martin Caceres who is rumoured to want to continue a career in English football.

It may only have been one game for Southampton but the Swans were linked with Caceres this time last year and now look set to be linked again this summer at least until a move is secured.

The link with Leeds may seem a little far fetched given their Championship status but they recently appointed Victor Orta as their new sporting director and that could give them the real edge in a swoop for Caceres. The Spaniard was technical director at Sevilla when they signed Caceres.

Chelsea and West Brom were also linked last summer along with eventual destination club Southampton and the Sun have already linked him with a move to Scotland and the Champions League with Celtic.

I'm nowhere near convinced that this rumour has any mileage in it at all but time will tell.
