Will Swansea City appoint the ‘nastiest man in football’ as their new manager ?
Sunday, 21st May 2023 14:57 by @Cornish67David

It’s been in the darkest recesses since the meeting between Steve Kaplan and Russell Martin in March this year in London. It also hasn’t left our inbox since that time and we claim no first dibs on this latest speculation. Why would we, reporting it is far easier on the eye. But numerous sources are now talking up one Kevin Muscat of Yokohama as a potential candidate for Swansea City manager.

What we do know about Australian Muscat ? He is an ex professional footballer for numerous teams including Rangers, Wolves and Millwall who turned down the advances of a championship club earlier in the year to concentrate on his club Yokohama F. Marinos. They play in the J1 league. He was also called the ‘most hated man in football’ by Birmingham City player Martin Grainger. Muscat was a ruthless player, not afraid of fronting anyone on or indeed off the pitch and that earned him a reputation. Ian Wright when at Arsenal called him a ‘lowlife and nobody’ He has been sued for injuring a player during his football career. Ashley Young when at Manchester United recalls Kevin Muscat stating “He would break my legs if I went past him,"

However, ex England captain Terry Butcher said that ‘Every player wants a Kevin Muscat in their side’ His managerial stats are impressive with a fifty percent win record over 312 games at St Truidense of Belgium, Melbourne Victory and now of course Yokohama. Of course this is only a link but it proves what we have been saying for some time that Swansea City haven’t remained inactive in their pursuit of a new Swans manager. There’s definitely some mileage in this.

There are other speculative punts on Wayne Rooney, an obvious choice as he is currently at DC United.

That is possibly it for today. Maybe.
