Tragedy tweets again : What is wrong with these people ! Monday, 20th Jan 2025 20:29 by Keith Haynes Talk Sport radio host, Jeff Stelling was duped during this mornings show when he read out a message by a Cardiff City fan celebrating a rare victory on the weekend against Swansea City. The message ended, Terry Coles. Terry Coles died in Rotherham having been trampled to death by a police horse before a crucial Swans promotion clash in Rotherham in 2000. As a result of this a variety of twitter posts appeared laughing about the misleading text and condoning it as a laugh. In fact some saw absolutely nothing wrong in it. Clearly if their father or son or friend died and they had to put up with twenty four years of this shocking behaviour they would possibly have a different slant. Now, on this subject we are not going to reproduce those shocking tweets, but they are being dealt with. Despite our very poor experiences with our report to South Wales Police regards Harri Ryan who continues to be endorsed for his disgusting Terry Coles tweet from last April by certain people local to Church Village FC. As many know the ‘force’ completely messed it up, gave an apology after ten officers cuffed the job until it fell outside of statutory time limits to deal with what was a very simple case. However, we have been assured by the head of the SWP complaints team and Police Sergeant Richard Treharne in Aberdare that further posts of this nature will be managed expeditiously and will result in arrests and court. So, we tested that out today. Both accounts as per below have been reported to South Wales Police. The reason being Terry was a friend, his family don’t need to have this constant harassment every other month of every year since Terry’s death. They cannot keep being dragged into more of this be that they are told or they stumble across it accidentally. Can you imagine the torment these people ? are causing them and friends continuously ? Here they are below, but there are so many others who are supporting them. ![]() Surprisingly Will Taylor of Merthyr has deleted his tweet, not sure what he thinks he gains by doing that. It’s done and the police have all they need. It was up for around seven hours with him being a brave lad about it. Yes, maybe a Twitter request for prosecution and to evidence it as an exhibit. But that’s not difficult. That will happen to both. Why ? Because the South Wales Police said they would. Keen eyed Welsh Local Football page, @Pel_DroedCymru spotted the post on talk sport and immediately advised Jeff Stelling of his involvement. We had a brief interaction with him and he has apologised profusely. So nice one @Pel_DroedCymru If you are in any way shocked or upset by this latest and horrible event then please call South Wales Police via 101 or call 01656 655555 and press the keys for the control room. The crime report number is 2500020410. This has to stop and the only way it will is by the police and the courts acting swiftly. This time. ![]() Photographs Open Source Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
