Leeds v Swans latest on the Indy : More to come
Friday, 28th Mar 2025 08:57 by Liam Walters

Swansea City take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday (3pm) with the majority of the Jack Army looking at this game as a free hit. The expectation on most at this game will be a win for the home side as they look to continue their push for promotion back to the Premier League.

The Whites have stuttered by their high standards recently, but only slightly. Only one loss in their last six fixtures, that was at home to Millwall 0-2, plus two draws is seen as a Leeds bowing under pressure by some. That’s unlikely to continue and they are focussed on gaining momentum over the next eight games. The current form table is an interesting look at where the top sides are after the past six games as well. Leeds position is reflected after their home loss and two draws.

There’s a low possibility of the Swans getting anything from the game, Leeds have lost just the one game at home this season, the recent home loss to Millwall, and have drawn three. Their excellent form is reflected in their true league position.

It will be another meeting of Swansea old boys in Joe Rodon, Dan James and Joel Piroe, all three it seems are fit. Manager Daniel Farke has Gnonto back from the international break but he is finding it hard to get back into the first team regularly. Ao Tanaka and Junior Firpo are available, on , Farke was open "He has to be fit right now. Of course, it’s not perfect he missed the last five days without training, especially when you want to play the first time in a starting line-up in a while. Normally, you do this when you are on the up and he was on the up and he had good chances”

Leeds will be doing the Swans a big favour, as if they do get promoted it will mean an extra two million pounds in the coffers as a part of the Joel Piroe deal. This is the last season that can occur. It was pointed out that had this game been closer to the end of the season, or at the end and the Swans were safe what indeed would that clause mean then ? That’s the quality of our posters on the forum, very astute and saying things as they see it. Alan Sheehan is happy with his current position unfortunately Myles Peart-Harris has now permanently returned to Brentford. Harry Darling is again a fifty/fifty with many Swans players returning from international duty across the world from South America to South Korea and Vipotnik in Slovenia there’s little time to get prepared for this game. Plus those Swans players who were with Wales.

Alan Sheehan interview below.

The club have made a slight logistical change for this game, the squad are staying very close to the ground, only fifteen minutes or so away and will reach there late afternoon today. A very decent number of Swans fans will travel, and we will, have more on this game later today.
