Referee >>> Andrew Kitchen (Durham), first ever Championship game.

Assistants >>> James Wilson (Cheshire) and Bhupinder Gill (London)

Fourth Official >>> Keith Stroud (Dorset), just you stay right where you are holding that board.

History

First QPR appointment.

Stats

Durham-based official Andrew Kitchen was promoted onto the EFL list for the 2021/22 season. He showed 69 yellows and two reds in 29 games split almost entirely across League One and League Two with the odd cup game thrown in there for good measure. Another pretty lenient season in the lower two divisions in 2022/23 as well – 80 yellows and three reds in 33 games, topped up substantially by a season0high total of ten bookings at Fleetwood 0-0 Cheltenham in League One. He finished the campaign with the Barnsley 1-1 Bolton play-off semi-final. So far this term it’s 18 yellows and no reds in five matches – two in League Two, one in League One and two in the League Cup. This Tuesday will not only be his first ever Championship appointment, but also the first time he’s ever refereed a Championship team in any competition.
