Apparently it seems he can't be contracted to the club (Dale) until he is 17 - until then we get about £12.5k per year he has been at Dale.

He's about to become a first year YTS lad at the club and can't sign a professional deal until he turns 17 so if any Premiership side comes in for him then we'll get next to nowt. The same thing very nearly happened with Callum Camps who was close to joining Fulham at the same age but it didn't go through.

Hahaha the sad thing is if the lad goes to one of these clubs yes he will get world class facilities and coaches but would most probably get very little experience and rot in the reserves/youths for years. Where as if he stayed with us he could be our second keeper in 12 months or 2 years. And then get some proper game time. | |

I have just listened to the same interview. It sounds very promising. I really hope he takes his chance and can step up to challenge Josh. It will be interesting to see him play in pre season. |  | | |
