Trouble is, a good many fans won't be willing to travel on an assumption. Whilst I disagree that £25 is too much to watch Dale hopefully beat Blackpool on their own midden, £25 is definitely too much to watch a bunch of fat tangerines sit in the centre circle.
I know it's a cliche, but... Isn't there any way the Dale Trust, as representatives of Dale fans as a whole, can approach the FL and ask them what those assurances might entail?

Its not a easy problem to solve, 3 year banning orders might focus the minds of those entering the playing arena but that seems a bit extreme.
Playing behind closed doors is another option but surrounding the pitch with loads of security seems the most likely.
If the pitch invasions continue, they could even be suspended from the league until the behind the scenes problems are sorted out. One things for certain, if anymore league matches are affected i expect the FL to take drastic measues, they have no other option. [Post edited 12 Jul 2015 11:11]

It is then widely agreed that that should be the plan of action. The Blackpool fans I know won't even go in the ground until the oystons have gone, so if this is the way majority are protesting then there won't be too many in the ground to invade the pitch. |  | | |

What's the protection (if any) if I pay by credit card? Can the credit card company do a claim back if Blackpool Football Club fail to deliver what was ordered? Any chance of Dale Trust looking into this? Thanks in advance chaps.
I really sympathise with the Blackpool fans over this. They're caught between a rock and a hard place over how they express their dissatisfaction over the current owners. Simply not buying merchandise or food & drinks in the ground won't be sufficient if they still receive parachute payments from the Premier League. I believe Blackpool share the same forum so if any webmaster can do some links it would be appreciated. Again, thanks in advance.

Your credit card agreement is only for purchases of over £100. If you buy tickets for 5 supporters, I guess the chance is you will all get reimbursed, but not for a single ticket. |  |

The key to that is whether the Credit Card company interpret the purchase a a single transaction over £100 or multiple individual purchases of £25 each.

With respect to the Blackpool fans, they're not doing this in half measures and they're following through to the bitter end. I don't think the Police will do much to stop the protests because their duty is to public safety. Until away or other home fans start causing tension with the protesters, it'll go on and on. Even then I suspect they'll just refuse to police their games and they'll end up being played behind closed doors. They'll also stop Blackpool bringing in any heavy stewards that could raise tensions. The Football League should get involved but anything that goes against the fans would be terrible for them. |  | | |

If the pitch invasions continue, Blackpool FC will end up playing games behind closed doors, and probably depending on the score at the abandonment , may have to forfeit games.
Facts are simple...If you want to pay £25 and there is a possibility that the game wont finish, that's your choice. As it stands today, it might happen...
Or you don't pay in the ground and the pitch invasion/abandonment doesn't happen, then you will save £25 but miss the game.
IMHO if our game get abandoned, it will probably get played later on in the season, after the Oystons have sold up. |  | | |

what do you want them to say "oh yes we are going to invade the pitch" ? It is now a 'terrorist' campaign, the threats means more security has to be employed thus costing the Company money. Also they do not necessarily know where and when they will hit. Lots of campaigns around the town - things like the Oyston Estates estate agents boards being "rebranded"
