Wow! Just when you start thinking Hill cant continue finding these players he goes and gets another gem. I dont do pre season so hadn't seen him before ( yes I know he was at Bournemouth when Hill was last here in Lge1) but he reminds me of when I saw Hogan that opening game v Hartlepool or Craig Dawson for the 1st time - you can just tell in an instant that he is a 'player'. Whatever happened to him that made him drop down so far I haven't a clue but so glad he is back and hopefully we have another serious talent on our books. |  |

I think McDermott's talent was never in question, more his attitude, Hilly seems to have a knack of getting players to knuckle down and start to realize their talent..

To be fair to the lino, he had the flag up straight away for the initial ball into the area - not when it was headed on. Whether that is the correct call these days feck knows? I know Dale had a strange offside when one of our players was walking back from an offside position, the Cov defender headed it down then our player was flagged when he collected the loose ball. | |

At least the officiating was consistent. I think it was PV in ET who was adjudged offside, came back on then received a pass when on-side and was flagged off. We got the better of that. |  |
