We have 87 days for people to get their £50 deposits in to determine the price of the 2017/18 Season Tickets.
Average amount of daily sales required by 21st June to hit the targets:
2000 (£250): 23
2500 (£200): 29
3000 (£150): 35
4000 (£110): 46
Keeping a track of this really helped ramp up the interest when Hartlepool fans did it, so hopefully it'll have a similar effect. Debate the numbers here over the next week, then we can add the figures once sales commence. |  |

705 sold in 17 days. Averaging 41 sales a day, if that was to continue we would end up selling 3608.
Might just be me, but I find days like today to be very encouraging. 30 sales in the middle of the week on the back of a defeat a few days ago that has left supporters feeling a little bit downbeat illustrates there's a genuine interest in the offer. Imagine what a derby win could do... Do hope that £50 deposits can be paid right up until kick off on Monday. Yes, people will be picking up tickets for the match/using council tax vouchers for tickets, but that should be done at one window, with ST sales at the other. If it means the office being open a couple of minutes after kick off because Joe Bloggs wants to get one for himself and two kids registered for Junior Dale, it's worth it. |
To give today's sales some perspective, club had a pop-up stand today (see below). Also Frances did an interview on Roch Valley Radio. Every little helps!
As for ST sales right up until kick-off ............ I hope you are right.

We have 1,300 Full ST holders, Die hards who buy every year regardless. Where are they? With them plus a few half ST holders such as myself along with the additional businesses, first timers and juniors we would be around the 2,000 mark and this offer can finally take off.
These are people who are used to paying 300+ out at once so its surprising that many would be hanging back to pay a 50 pound deposit.
The quicker we can break the 1,000 barrier and get up into the 1500+ the better. I would have expected to be around the 2,000 mark by the 27th April, but with 16 days left I don't know whats going on? |

We had sold 1200 season tickets by the fans forum on 28th July. 1300 season tickets overall isn't probably far off but maybe 200-300 would probably have been free (£10) child tickets. I'd hardly say that was nowhere near the number quoted. | | | |

I've not trawled the full 13 pages of this thread, so this might have been mentioned, if everyone buys 2 season tickets then we would pretty much be guaranteed to pay £220 which in itself represents good value |
Nice idea in theory but unworkable in practice
First, there wouldn't be enough capacity in the home stands for 4000 x2
But more importantly, because the club would have to honour the potential for full home stands, it'd mean no "pay on the day" fans could ever get to see a game | |

OK we have sold 700 deposits in under 3 weeks....I think that this is an absolute cracking effort from everyone that has coughed up. So we need another 1300 in ten weeks...
I think the remarks by poster(s) on here, demanding why ALL the season ticket holders have not paid? Harsh ? dont you think? Have you paid?

Most people, especially where money is concerned, do things by routine. Buying Season Tickets works exactly the same way. Fans are being asked to commit and gamble on a reduced price Season Ticket well before the previous season ends...And 700 have.
Usually fans pay next season ticket in May or June This time around will be no different, apart from the initial outlay will be less, and the "early bird" has been extended till the 21 June. Most will stay pay at the end of the season.
You can argue the following, figures are just my opinion
600 deposits are from current Season Ticket holders
100 deposits are "extras"-ie 2 extra for the family, sponsors, directors RRG etc
So there is bloody good chance that 1200 Season Ticket holders are doing what they normally do, pay at the end of the season. Potentially , another 200 "extras", and thats before you include newbies.
RG has got form at Pools...He will know what targets to hit, and ill bet the 700 is on par, possibly greater than he imagines. But that might be a question to ask at the right time. IMHO RG will have summat up his sleeve...Have you noticed that there is no date to pay the rest of the Season Ticket off??? So who"s to say , it might get reduced further
RAFC will have budgeted for each of the Season Ticket prices- thats for sure. And some more.

No-one's 'demanding' anything, it's simply a case of wondering (hence my use of the word "mystified") why ST regulars haven't yet committed
There's plenty of individual reasons, as we've seen, but no overall pattern which might have been a concern. So you think it's wrong to ask well-intended questions?

So out of curiosity, I went on the 'Pool totaliser thread and found they were almost double this number (1496) after 16 days. Either Dale fans like to hold on to their dosh for longer or this may not have captured the local imagination as much as it did in the N.E.? A couple of pionts I thought were worth making: Hartlepools started their reduced prices promotion on the 9th of May 2011 and part way through they announced that the maximum price would be £150 despite having an initial set up similar to the one we have at the moment. According to Mick Wadsworth their manager at the time, sales were slow at first but picked up once the £150 maximum was announced. There were large queues outside the ground for tickets at the end of the offer period.
Momentum is the name of this game and at the moment things seem to be on track for a decent result, if it is perceived to be waning, I think there will be an announcement reagarding a final maximum price. Also by May 9th, we could well be 1000+ tickets ahead of where they were when they started. |  | | |

Once the deadline has passed for previous seasons ST holders to renew, you've got to hope the club will offer a 30 day 'get your ticket now for a guaranteed price of £110.' This offer will be passed to all those who have already placed deposits. Once said 30 days have passed then those who purchase deposit do so knowing previous offer still stands. I think this would allow us to really attract some serious interest and will be best way to reach that 4K target. There would be no reason why, once this offer has ended, it couldn't be extended. After going to the Port Vale fixture last week with a lifelong Rochdale supporter (I'm a Hearts supporter myself) I am planning on purchasing a season-ticket at Rochdale for the coming season and I plan to pay my deposit in the coming days.
Compared to Hearts, this offer is fantastic and the club, along with a loyal and faithful support should be applauded.

You are most likely correct. As R17ale has said previously, maybe give the £50 a bit of value by offering supporters 4 games for that deposit, should they not be able to afford the remaining ST price? | |
