We have 87 days for people to get their £50 deposits in to determine the price of the 2017/18 Season Tickets.

Average amount of daily sales required by 21st June to hit the targets:
2000 (£250): 23
2500 (£200): 29
3000 (£150): 35
4000 (£110): 46

Keeping a track of this really helped ramp up the interest when Hartlepool fans did it, so hopefully it'll have a similar effect. Debate the numbers here over the next week, then we can add the figures once sales commence.

The results between now and the end of the season will, imo, have a massive impact on ST sales

That's why the current focus should be trying to maximise each result. I wasn't at Chesterfield but having them on the ropes at half time but failing to take advantage (for whatever reason) is, again imo, wrong-headed

The impact of the 2-7 win at Stockport 10 years ago was transformational. People started to believe. Turning 0-3 into 0-5 or 1-6 would really make people sit up and take notice

Chances are, we'll probably miss out on the playoffs* but making the biggest possible impact in games, particularly the Northampton/Port Vale fixtures is paramount, hence my Momentum thread

* would hate to do so on goal difference

I have a nasty feeling that injury time defeat at Southend might prove pivotal...

This next week is certainly massive - a win tomorrow night (it's definitely due on a Tuesday night away) and a home win on Saturday: then the £1 game v Port Vale next Tuesday night could have a huge bearing on the success of this season ticket launch. We've a great end of season set of fixtures too with the bury, Oldham and Bradford games.

Back on topic, the crucial thing on the day this was launched was that it was on the back of the excellent win against Gillingham.

If we'd lost that after the run we'd been on, there's little doubt the enthusiasm would have been affected. Results have a very big part to play.

Following Scunthorpe's comeback against Bradford yesterday, it's looking increasingly likely that 6th place only is up for grabs, with Southend the incumbents

In that context, the 3 pt swing resulting from the late winner TVOS refers to is by far the most critical goal we've conceded this season

Aye, but point is that Southend are realistically the team we need to slip up.

We scored last minute goals v AFC Wimbledon, Fleetwood and Millwall to balance out some of the others.

As was touched upon at the time, the psychological effect was perhaps the biggest thing to come from that game. A draw would have retained our six point gap over Southend in seventh (we'd have been fourth if we got a point) and we'd have had a game in hand. It would have been seen as a very good away result.

It began the run which we struggled to pull ourselves out of, so there's an argument the impact of one goal was pretty long-lasting.

Fully agree, and yet... should we overcome that setback and the devastating injuries visited upon us and kick off the final game against Bradford still with a chance of a playoff spot, it'd be quite remarkable

Indeed. And to think where we'd be by picking the best options at full-back...

Looking forward to tomorrow though, on and off the pitch.

Yes, put like that I see the significance of that one result, in isolation. Still, I'm sure there will plenty of twists and turns to come.

It's the old story, look after our own results and what happens elsewhere is incidental...

I know it's a big if............but if we win our next 3 games we will be 3 points behind Bradford - and we play them last game.

Ah, yes, fair enough.

Results in the next few weeks could be our best marketing tool.

Let's look forward instead of back. Whatever the results in our last few games this season, this thread is about the season tickets we're buying for NEXT season, not this. If you want to sell the quality of football at the Crown Oil arena, don't merely depend on the results from the last half a dozen games this season, instead try:-

In the last decade:-
In top 10 of all English football clubs for goals scored and points gained
Top 4 best Academy/ Youth Team in the country
2 promotions
3 FA Cup Fourth Round ties
half a dozen ex players in the Premiership
etc

I agree with promoting the 'last decade' achievements. Our recent history is absolutely remarkable. What a time to be a Dale fan!

4000 season tickets is the aim - it would be incredible to see a full ish Spotland week in week out.

I'm buying mine today I think and I spoke to a few people last night that I know normally make 6-7 games a season who said they'd be buying one as well. Already seems like there's a lot of people buying one who never have / didn't last year and the idea of offloading them to businesses for staff is a good one.

As a pessimist I'll be pleased just to reach 2000 but 4000 is definitely possible if everybody takes a leap of faith.

I'll be putting my £50 down at the start of June as it is the most suitable time for me to pay so I imagine the sales will remain steady throughout the offer.

If we don't sell 2500 then I'll just let my £50.00 deposit go and just pick and choose a few games to go to at home and go to more away game as I'm trying to add to my list of grounds visited.

If we sell 2500 It'll become worthwhile paying the additional £150 and I'll get the season ticket.

Lot's of ifs and buts but definitely feel the incentive might work.

Wish I'd chosen a different username...

I couldn't agree more, but unfortunately all those achievements have still been largely ignored by the town, which is why more immediate and present circumstances will have a greater impact.

There is no appreciable financial benefit for Dale to encourage early ticket purchases with current interest rates, but the momentum factor is everything with this deal. It got me wondering why the £2.50 booking fee hasn't been waived under the circumstances, if the club wanted a bigger opening day splash (especially after the £1 fee was waived on the half ST). Not saying the number sold on day 1 wasn't great, but it could have been higher, that's all.

The flip side of this is there'll be plenty sold on both Saturday and Tuesday, and I can see the opportunity that this presents as it keeps the good news flowing, with the corresponding social media boosts.

Probably swings and roundabouts.

Is there a chance that the £2.50 fee for purchases online are taken by a 3rd party for facilitating the transaction and beyond the clubs' jurisdiction? If not, then it needs addressing - pronto.

I paid by card yesterday at the club office ad there was no 'fee'

You could well be right SL - and if memory serves, I think the fee was waived on telephone sales of half STs only. The whole thing of not having on-line sales in house and being in control of what we charge is bonkers if you ask me. Maybe the need to book on-line will reduce in future if we sell a lot of STs, but it's a complete waste of money. I'd rather add 15p to the fee and use it buy a pint in the Social Club. Btw, did you have to fill a form in? Or just say who you were and hand your card over?

4 forms in total - one for each purchase, as well as birth certificates where appropriate. Time consuming. In all but one case (a new applicant) all the details had been provided at the commencement of each previous season where season tickets had been bought. Repetitive to say the least.

Just ordered mine over the phone as still can't get the website to work (even with KenBoon's input, thanks anyway!) and it was very straightforward.

I've had season tickets in the past a few years ago and got a 1/2 one this season so I just told them my name, told them I wanted the same seat, handed over my card details and said cheers bye.
