We have 87 days for people to get their £50 deposits in to determine the price of the 2017/18 Season Tickets.
Average amount of daily sales required by 21st June to hit the targets:
2000 (£250): 23
2500 (£200): 29
3000 (£150): 35
4000 (£110): 46
Keeping a track of this really helped ramp up the interest when Hartlepool fans did it, so hopefully it'll have a similar effect. Debate the numbers here over the next week, then we can add the figures once sales commence. |  |

Tbh, I'm not really that fussed when the deadline is.
My point was that the initiative started three months ago and a lot of people were saying the deadline should be changed to suit their own circumstances, rather than looking at the bigger picture. It's not as if these dates have just been sprung upon us.
There has to be some cut-off point, otherwise we'll still be talking about it in September.
re. all-ticket matches/fiascos, the club are dictated to by the police on that and always will be. |

I am ook with extending the timeline but dont wait until the origial deadline to make the announcement. Why have people potentially scrambling around to make a deadline that you know is not going to be enforced. |
It's a fair point, as are those made by others. Poorly executing the extension of a deadline to ensure maximum sales would at least be consistent with the rest of the initiative!
One of the other points made is about "seeing a bigger picture". The biggest picture, surely, is maximum sales, for anyone who wants to buy and who - for whatever reason - hasn't yet done so, or been able to do so |  |

Strange that the club shop didn't alter its opening hours to align with that. Surely it's worth staying open an extra hour in case people want to buy a shirt/something for Father's Day etc after going to the ticket office? |
It's worse than that I drove 35 miles to get to the club shop today arrived at just after half 11 it was shut!!! The official site says closed season it's open 9 - 12 on a Saturday. Now I know it's closed season but with the ticket office open later and it being father's Day tomorrow it's pretty terrible.
They lost out on quite a bit of money today. I was going to buy a father's Day gift, something for a new born baby and a new shirt for myself. They've definitely missed out on the first too as it's too late but I might also give the shirt a miss as well now.
Does anyone know if it was open at all? | |

Couldn't agree more, but there has to be a cut off point at some point.
Different people have given their own reasons for wanting different deadlines or deadlines extended. The club can't accede to each individual request. |  |

Obviously the original cut off day is set to coincide with the new fixtures being released - and hopefully the buzz of some decent early games will tempt late deciders to go and put down a deposit. However it's a Wednesday and also it's only 9 days till pay day for a lot of folk - it would make total business sense to announce an extension till Saturday 1st July and have the office / shop open all day. (Obviously announce it after the original cut off date has passed). |  |

54 sold on Monday is an impressive figure, as are things like the Castleton branch of the City supporters club buying 4 today.
Over 8 days since the price was dropped to £200, we have seen sales go up by around 300-350 (had sold "over 1700" on the Saturday before). So that's averaging around 40 sales a day, maybe a few more.
Compare this to sales from "almost 1600" in the three weeks after the price was dropped to £250 with little promotion thereafter, a period where we were averaging less than 10 a day, and you can see the impact the latest change has had.
It has to be said that the coverage and promotion on Twitter has been excellent over the last week or so. But you can bet the club are fully aware of that.

I think the sudden increase in sales again after the drop to £200 was announced has now set the template for season ticket sales for 2018-2019. It appears this is a price most people are willing to commit to paying in the beginning with a chance of paying even less if we were to go on to sell 3000 - 4000 tickets. As I posted much earlier in the thread I never expected us to sell anymore than around 2300 on the current offer which I still think is a decent effort and I'd now expect the final figure to be somewhere close to this given today is the last day for the offer.
Going forward for 2018- 2019 season IF it is financially viable for the club to maintain the price at £200 then there may be a real chance of hitting that 3000 - 4000 next season with a little tweaking of the current offer.
Next season's offer should be something like,
A maximum of £200 only by paying a £50 deposit by a preset date (ideally a month end to allow for peoples paydays). We really must begin advertising and taking the deposits in March whilst the season is still active and customers are still engaged with the product.
If we are in with a shout of the play-offs/promotion as per the previous 2 seasons this would most likely increase early sales and should see a good start to the offer.
We could then drop to £150 if 3000 sales achieved and again down to £110 for 4000 sales.
Again anyone not paying a deposit would pay £250 so it is would be in every fans interest to pay the deposit and save themselves money. |  |
