Will be interesting to hear Keith's comments on this. I know Vincenti loved being here and Keith always seem to rate him highly as a person.
I wonder if his performances last season convinced him he wasn't good enough for league 1, and he's got a little more ruthless in hope of some success?
Either way, all the best to the lad. Did a lot off the field and was great in league 2.

The writing was on the wall in his last few mini-appearances, and after what may well have been a real heart-to-heart with his manager, has probably made the right choice
He wasn't that good the season before from about November 15 onwards.
I thought he might be turned into a full back like Bunney to save his Dale career but we have better options anyway.
He seems like a really nice bloke off the pitch but on it his behaviour was disappointing - his sub role at Oldham summing up his temperament and poor form.
Sounds horrible saying it, but as Dale improved, PV got left behind a little bit. Will always be fondly remembered but I doubt Hilly could offer him anything other than a squad role for next season. Worth remembering that we picked him up from a team relegated to the Conference and he's more than played his part in our success since then.

Enjoyed watching PV play..i hope he gets another 2 or 3 years playing without the injuries he's had over the last 12 months..a great club man
He's 31 in 2/3 weeks' time so the 2-year deal he's been offered at Coventry must be more tempting than another season at Dale. Good luck to him in L2.
Hill signing him in the summer of 2013 was a fine piece of management. Up to then, having failed to break into the Millwall team, Vincenti had done the rounds at non-league level, with most of his league experience at the about to be relegated Torquay.
At the time I was sceptical that he, and Ollie Lancashire, would rise to the challenge. I'm glad to have been proved wrong - and I hope the signing of Jordan Williams proves to be as successful!

Nothing but good memories of P V. After not the best of seasons, the arrival of Jordan Williams probably sealed his fate IMHO. Going to a club in such turmoil won't be easy. Hope he can get a few more years out of the game because he deserves it. All the best lad.

Vincenti has never played for Torquay.
When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

He had a hugely disappointing season last season, undoubtedly impacted by injury, but we shouldn't forget the impact he had during his time at Dale. I'll always remember the expectation when the ball was stood up to the back post, knowing Big Pete would be attacking it.
I agree with what Col said, I think PV got left behind a bit due the improvements within the squad. That shouldn't detract from what a fantastic servant he was for Dale. I'm sure he'll be missed around the place because he was by all accounts a top top bloke.
Thanks for the good times, Big Pete!

Sad to see big Pete leave, was a true ambassador off the pitch for the club, a proper gent. The injury set him back, and he never got back to the level he showed previous, one of Hills beat signings, genuinely wish him well at Cov.

I will always remember the last minute comeback at Chesterfield. We were 2-0 down with only a few minutes to play. We scored one...then Vincenti lept like a salmon, what seemed like 100 feet in the air to head a last gasp equaliser...
