Hendersons knocking on 28, he's not too 'owd or a footballer.... but looking at his career stats he didn't really start scoring a few until 2010.. Just goes to show you can accomplish even if you have not received success immediately.

HillBeech have ben fantastic in getting the best out of Henderson. this looks like his best season as a professional, hes scored and contributed to some fkin cracking goals. Today for instance.

Maturing after time, like the leftovers of late night kebab devoured - tasting better on a Sunday morning after 2mins in the microwave to save going to co=op to get bacon.

Patience and then glory under the right management.

Always fancied seeing him in a Dale shirt when he played for Colchester but never expected it to happen. Obviously has the technique of a higher level player, but works hard tracking back and getting involved with defensive duties as well: a proper team player.

Hendo is the best player in the division.

Are we finally reaching the stage where Hendo would get into people's all time Dale XI yet?

Hed walk into my all time 11,never seen a player so technically gifted yet works his socks off every single game for the team, players with his ability generally drift in and out of games. He could already enrol himself in the best goals ever after the first half of this season, the boy is CLASS

Hendo a warmed up kebab to save a nip to the shops analogy - you charming devil crazyhorse !!

KH, "Rose is a frayed bit of string yet still amazingly used to tie up the broken and knackered exhaust that is Rochdale's defence to the rest of my old banger of a team. He's a wonder is Michael !!"

Anyone else?

Yes.

This Boy Oozes class.

Not sure about the " at last " bit in the title - he has been different class since his arrival...

Without doubt my favourite current Dale player. ( 2 x amazing goals 2 x last home games help!! ).

One of our best signings.

Has great vision, makes superb off the ball runs, not always to get the ball but to create space.
He's unselfish and very rarely gives the ball away.

And obviously scores superb goals too.

It's players like Henderson that we would struggle to keep should we not get promoted.

Up the Dale

and if we do manage the P word then he is one that would step up with ease.

Top Bloke

Top Player.

Does everything for me including the hard yards defensive work.

All of the above is why we shouldn't be too downhearted if we lose Hogan.

Plymouth are no mugs - unbeaten in six in the league - but did we need Hogan yesterday?

The potential income might just make the difference between success or struggling should we make it to L1. Last time round, we had the income from Dawson (plus Dawson!).

But this is about Hendo. I guess I've got a longer perspective than most, but I'd class him right up there with Dennis Butler from our '69 vintage.

Made the Sunday Mirror team of the day with Rose and Allen.
The Mirror also tipped Shef Wed to beat us.
Well done Sunday Mirror

Hendo, along with Rose and Dicker, are technically much better footballers than League Two. At the minute, Hendo and Rose are really showing that.

Just hope that they aren't pilfered if we don't make it up to League One this season (or even if we do).

As said already in the thread, we can afford to lose Hogan if his goals are replaced, but Hendo and Rose actually perform mechanical functions in this team that would be much harder to replace.

That isn't to the detriment of the other players. The likes of Lund, Allen and O'Connell have really impressed me this season too.

Dicker is, or was, good enough to play in the Championship. He has the technical ability to do so. He hasn't shown it at Dale, sadly, but he has shown it at previous clubs.

Rose too. I have been impressed with him this season - more for his deliveries than defensive qualities - but impressed nonetheless.

Stand by my comments on Dicker. He is a capable footballer and I'm quite sad to see a player of his quality leave.

However, should we use the cash from his (and Tutte's) release to bring in another striker...

Yeah, Hendo's truly excellent. A classy player who works hard. We have many players who fill either of those categories, but few who fill both.

Plus, with the outside-football stuff (Brandon's Beard, interviews), he seems a genuinely nice guy too. Always a bonus. I'd much rather the team have a talented player who's a decent guy than one we all feel uncomfortable cheering for.

I was not convinced when he first turned up on loan , but watching his first few games , thought he had a wonderful touch and seemed to be fully aware of what was going on around the field( unlike Grant whom I never saw perform well enough for 90 mins) . This season Hendo has been a revelation some sublime finishes and excellent approach play.
Sorry if/when we lose Hogan but hope we keep Hendo. As for Rose , yes he has a brilliant shot but cant even stand on his right foot nevermind pass with it. He lacks a hell of a lot in defence. I would rather see Done at left back thought he was immense against Leeds. Maybe Rose in a more attacking role out wide left, get more shots on goal????
