There is a guy called Butterworth who lives in one of the terraced houses at the Tesco end of Bolton Road. He has his name on a plate near his front door. I have used him (a few tears ago) and he is reliable and good. Don't know his charges but nobody rips me off!

Wasn't the club or Trust compiling a list of Tradespeople (who were also Dale friendly) somewhere. Not local so didn't register details at the time.

You could always try this too

Most will charge you a days wage regardless as they'll be snagged up whilst at yours, a friend of mine is very very good but he is mega busy, many customers are miles out in what they think a job should cost rather than the "going rate"
What actually is it you want doing, just as a gauge?

Two alcoves with the following in each.
7ft length and 18inches in height .....

Both areas are down to bare brick so need a coat of browning and then the finishing..

And how much are you expecting to pay with materials included? It's not a trick question either I'm just interested,I've done work for plenty of folk and most are wildly out when it comes to the price of things, most see it fine to go out earning their 40k+ a year to sit in a nice clean office without a skill in the world, yet pull their face at a time served tradesman trying to earn between £120-£150 a day to then get covered in shit for good measure.

Well lets says after the chat being told that is a small job so he will put one of his lads on the job and just charge us day rate for the lad.

The amount was well in excess what you have stated and no way what he quoted was a day rate for one of his lads....

Spot on,the amount of times I've looked at jobs and the customers rolls out the line, I got someone last time for £80 a day can you match that, crack on. Take your fuel, van associated costs, liability insurance off and yes mate I'm fine working for £50 a day,and let me guess you want the best standard of job ever too?
