Many, including myself have outed him for being slow, are we wrong or is this a tactical stat released to hush the fans?

The stat is based on him running flat out for long distances. Not actually based on his speed. He was getting up and down the pitch really well and covers a lot of distance.

He might be deceptively fast, but his game is more about shielding the ball in possession.

I don't think he is slow in a straight race, I think people are commenting more on his quickness than his flat track speed. Being quick and agile is different than straightline speed.
