Wonderful report Clive, thank you. I was on my to the exit after Brum scored - to start my journey back to Hastings - but thankfully decided to park myself in one of the spare seats on the aisle. What a great decision that turned out to be. On the tube at White City, I was sat next to a guy that I used to go to QPR with back in the late 70s / early 80s and had not seen for over 40 years. His Dad, Gordon, used to drive us to many away games. Leicester and Grimsby spring to mind. His Dad is now 82, but still has a season ticket. If you see this Mark, then please PM me. Would be lovely to meet up for a beer. On Wednesday, I travelled back up to London for a lunch in the city, where you have an ex player hosting every table. We had Mark Ward who had a few interesting stories to tell and was good fun. Mad dog was on the table behind. Sat next to me was a QPR season ticket holder and sponsor, Trevor, that I met for the first time. What a small world and a thoroughly enjoyable week. |

Good post and agree with most of this, although some of the Warburton ‘pass it between the back four’ became unwatchable |

I feel sorry for the 1,600 supporters that travelled today. Deserved better. The performance was diabolical, but so predictable. Everyone was below 5 today, which is some going for every player. |

I’m not sure what the plan is with Kone, but he looked great in his first few games and is now playing out of position and a virtual passenger. Very QPR to have a great centre forward prospect and then not play him centre forward. Enjoy your break Clive. |

Thanks Clive. I wasn’t at the game, but I thought Sheffield were the better team 2nd half and looked the more likely to win it. A low bar, but that was better performance than Ipswich and Southampton, just. |

Best player on the pitch. He was pivotal to us winning wnd half. And he genuinely loves it |

That’s a really well written report Jamie, thank you. Grimes, Torp and Rudoni were excellent for them, but they literally could have played in their club suits. Our midfield 3 were all over the place, as evidenced by the 2nd goal, when Morgan gave the ball away from fullback. What was he doing out there when we’re trying to keep things compact. That was just one small example. Charlton will be interesting…… |

Look after yourself Clive. That must come first. This is my favourite website / forum, not just football, end. Yourself, Dave Thomas and QPR in the community (including Andy Sinton) have been the best things about our club for many years and this is my 50th anniversary of following us. |

If anyone from the Hastings area is travelling to Watford today, would you mind taking my groups match tickets, as I can no longer make it. Thanks in advance. |

Happy New Year Clive. On my way to the game. Keep up the great work. This is genuinely one of the very best parts of being a QPR supporter. |

Jeez, what an excellent but sobering read - anything of interest in the group email thread |

Yes, today was the tipping point for me too. I thought the teams below us weren’t going to get enough points but that’s not the case now. We’re in big trouble |

Hi Clive. You’ve mentioned in other threads the fallout at the back end of last season with Warburton. Are you able to share what actually happened, or would that betray confidences. Either way, do you think this is still having a direct or indirect impact on what’s going on now. |

I’d say Clive Allen was the best finisher. I don’t remember Givens scoring as many goals but it’s a long time ago. I do remember he was integral to the team, but even in those days there were a few boo boys. Les was class. Could pretty much do anything. Equivalent of our Haarland from back in the day. Kev slightly behind the others. |

It can be a bit of a slog following the team away, but every now and then you get one of these games to reward you and remind you why you do it. Well done to you all. |

I thought he was our best player too, along with Jimmy Dunne, albeit not a lot of competition |
