Well by many accounts they were looking to move Nardi on. They tried Walsh at No. 1 instead, but he's injured now regardless of how well he did or didn't do.

Hamer is an obvious stopgap but has been fine I think, though he's back to being a sub for now.

I just don't think they have full faith in any of them and would be looking at their options in January.

Sympathy to the OP - it was a pretty devastating equaliser so understandable enough.

The largest mass premature evacuation in modern times has to be when 0-2 down against Brentford when we scored 2 in injury time. That was hilarious.

That's probably fair too, I'm sure he did a few more decent things than I'm giving him credit for.

He just looked a bit more shaky at times against Smyth, went over at one point, got called a vvanker a lot. Morr uncomfortable than other visits - e.g. he'd scored at least one winner in the past iirc.

Agree with others on Cook - thought he had a really solid game and helped keep things organised. Benefit of having a bit of a squad these days.

I was sorry to see Robinson go off last night. He's often had a comfortable trip back to ours, in more affluent teams - as he so gratefully crowed about when he eventually got back to fitness and left.

Last night the chickens came home to roost and he was having a pretty torrid second half down in that corner.

I thought the whole defence was really solid and switched on.

Found it a hard watch for the first half hour or so but we stuck at it and grew into the game.

Deserved the win for that second half effort and great to see the midfield two covering and linking things so well.

And if my eyes and ears didn't deceive me he put in another challenge a couple of minutes later on the other side that reverberated around the ground.

Whatever they're feeding him keep it up.

Putting aside who (and in many ways what) he is, it's unfortunate timing in the week after they're talking about scrapping jury trials because the system is so under-resourced and overwhelmed.

Anyone know what happened with the fan who needed treatment?

I couldn't see it - think someone said they got smashed with the ball?

Trust they're recovering.

Getting the negatives out of the way, I thought the start of the second half was slow and we went too deep. Maybe losing Chair had something to do with it, but the players looked a bit cold and disjointed. And after West Brom scored the whole ground was very quiet for a good 5-10 mins. Understandable nervousness of course but was strange to hear the blocks that normally do such a good job of making the noise go so quiet.

But what a difference having those two up front makes. An actual successful press that leads to a goal - how refreshing is that?

I think it's time to get back to that Burrell-Kone combo whenever possible, and build the team around that, rather than trying to juggle things. Kone needs to be playing.

I put it on on my phone about 20 minutes ago while washing the dishes.

Looked up and thought for a split second Nourry was standing beside Trump. He's gone now anyway.

I think it's a savvy strategy not to play him in order to keep his value up.

Richard P Kone used to be worth a lot of money, but by featuring over 50% of the time earlier in the season has now turned into see below.

Sorry if he's your favourite [young] player but we need to manage his load for a potential 200k move next summer. Well done club.

Need Smyth, Hayden and Morgan at half time I think. None of this 20 minutes to go, 3 or 4 look dead on their feet.
