Passing it around the back, again

A curse of modern football.
I hate it when we try it at 0-0, I utterlly detest it when we are behind and supposedly chasing a game.

Do any of our players want winners medals? I mean, do any of them when they have retired from football, want something to show for their careers, other than to boast they played a couple of seasons in the premier league?
I really don't think so.

Julien speaks

I've kinda got out of the habit of listening to manager's pre and post match interviews.
Stopped when Gareth was the gaffer and tried a couple of times with Marti and Julien, but the shite they come out with sometimes is just too much.

We've been sprinkler mad for the last few seasons.
We could have a monsoon season in Shepherd's Bush, and QPR would still have the sprinklers going full pelt before games, and at half time.

Marti gone...

I hope the foxes appoint Marco Silva, and Marti goes to Fulham.
Would love to see those buggers back down in the Championship.

Three-game weeks
at 16:32 25 Jan 2026

Agree with every word.
When I was a kid, we believed we could win Div.1, and very nearly did.
We believed we could get to a Wembley final and win a trophy, we did in '67, and but for a bit more luck, very nearly did in '82.
Nowadays, this club just has one ambition, get to the Premier League and hang on for grim life to our place there. And that's it.
In order to do that, we must fark off the cups at every opportunity. The one at Plymouth, only the second game in, was the most shocking of all our scant regard for the cups we've shown the last couple of decades plus.
And now we have the worst record of anyone for 3rd round exits in the FA Cup.
It's a great shame, because inside Queen's Park Rangers, there's a club 10 times bigger than Chelsea, that has only once in our history, been nearly let loose on English football.

I'm afraid Julien has us shitting ourselves whenever 3 game weeks come around.
Like we're the only team in the championship, that play them.
Every single 3 game week only differs in how shit they've been.

Amen, to the last sentence, mate.
If we come out and play like we did at Stoke and Oxford, at home to Wrexham, I will give up on football and QPR forever.
Well, probably not, but as close to doing so, as I've ever been!

It's the same for both teams playing on it, and it should be to our advantage because we play on it all the time.

The 3 sides of a match thread at Oxford
at 10:42 21 Jan 2026

Last two games against Stoke, now these lot, Oxford, have been awful displays of football.
I know a point and a clean sheet away from home, is good, but if that's how we'd play to get that point, in all our away games, I would stop going, simple as.
Not only was the football turgid, but the wind and rain just added to the overall unpleasentness.
I hope we come out at home to Wrexham with some real attacking intent.
Another performance at home to Wrexham, akin to that of Stoke and Oxford, will not be tolerated by the fans.

Good summary, Clive.
Blimey, I never want to see the Rangers put us through anything like that again.
Alright, a point and a clean sheet away from home is always welcome, but not like that, not like that.
Fingers crossed we play football at the Kassam on Tuesday night.

Stoke fans on QPR (whose side are you on?)

Have to agree.
I always hate and deride other teams who play the kind of football we did yesterday. When I see us do the same thing, it breaks my heart. I grew up watching Gordon Jago's, and Dave Sexton's teams, and for me at least, their's was the kind of football that made the Rangers, the fantastic football team they undoubtedly were.

Sorry to lose Rumarn until March, but Rayan has it in him to step up to the plate.
I hope. 🤞🏻

Depends on what side we put out.
West Ham will field mostly reserves, I'd say.
Even though they're a championship side in all but name, they will still be desperate to cling on to their place at the bottom of the pile in the top tier.
We'll see, anyway.

Twice in the space of little more than a month, we let a team in the relegation zone show us up.
Norwich must wish they could play us every week. I'm surprised their fans didn't sing that.
It's a good job we haven't a cat in hell's chance of going up.
If Norwich can do that to us, twice in one month, I shudder to think what far better sides in the Premiership would do to us, given half a chance.

Baggie ball bags - Match Thread
at 10:56 30 Dec 2025

Julien Stephane has to play his best starting eleven every game.
We just simply don't have a squad good enough to pretend we're a rough and ready version of Real Madrid.
We barely have a squad capable of covering the odd injury and suspensions.
We have dropped way too many points to teams that had we performed to our strength, and the best of our ability, we would have undoubtedly come away with something from.
Now, we're up against the budgies on new year's day, a bogey side that could squeeze a lucky win off us without having to so much as bat an eyelid.
My God, Rangers, I'd have torn my hair out, had I any, years ago.
Frustrating, doesn't even begin to cover the experience of being a QPR fan in this day and age.

A miserable return for Marti as white hot QPR incinerate Leicester – Report
at 07:26 22 Dec 2025

I have been reliving the 1st 45+ minutes in my head, Mbengue, Mbengue, Mbengue, gue, gue, since half-time on Saturday.
Call me greedy, but I was, like you, a little peeved we didn't add 1 or 2 more goals to our tally in the 2nd half.
In fact, I was thinking we might have achieved our biggest ever home win, such was our dominance of that heavenly 1st half.
To my mind though, we're too much of a Jekyll & Hyde kinda side, for me to be even a tad optimistic about where we might be headed.
How we do in back to back aways at Portsmouth and West Brom next up, will be really telling.

I won't clap him, but I won't boo him, either.
To me, he's just another manager of a club who's sense of entitlement is now off the scale.
I want us to beat them, but not just because Marti manages them now.
