KG interviews superbly every time. He articulates what this squad is about so eloquently and with an enthusiasm that would win the most cynical Dale fan over. After he has proven his words on the pitch as an individual and team player. Magnificent all round.
Off the top of me head, Calvin Andrew late 1-0 winner v Port Vale at home a few years back. Graham Atkinson 1-0 late winner at Rotherham 1999? TVOS will no doubt have the answers!
Well, the final was a bore up to the 90th minute when it became one of the maddest football scenarios you will ever see in a live game. Just watch it - there are no words!
According to social media posts by Oldham fans for months and months, their pitch is the greatest pitch in the history of football, ever, and infallible.
Erm....
Oldham Athletic P P Notts County tomorrow after a wee bit of frost. Tinpot club.
Jamie Smith given out on a "murmur" at Perth. Carey at Adelaide and Wetherald tonight remain in, on a "murmur". And more. Aussie Snicko is a mess to put it politely, and England are on the wrong end of it, again. England lost the series and deservedly so, but it is such a shocking system. The Barmy Army are singing "Same old Aussies, always cheating". Waltzing Matilda appointed as third umpire for our next Ashes series over there.
286 all out. Poor, but credit to Stokes and Archer for playing proper test cricket and showing the grit and determination ALL our lot need to offer every game, not just now and again.
Convicts 371 all out England 42-3. Two superb pieces of bowling, one gift. Almost 4. Root survives by DRS, but we're owed one. Bat all day and get 500 1st innings on a placid wicket? Hope progress towards that is what I wake up to, but this isn't good so far. G'night.
Having attended the Shareholders AGM last evening, and heard about pitch developments from those who are organising it, on behalf of those who are funding it, and having shuffled through the mud to get to the meeting (eventually held in Ratcliffe's not the 1907 as the ground is a construction site!) I have no fears whatsoever. What happened in the past needs to stay there, as does the incompetent ***t who used it as an opportunity to self-aggrandise and on who's watch we are in the mess we are in. The here and now screams professionalism, proper contracts and guarantees in place for all stages of the work, daily or bi-daily updates from the contractors to the board, all weather scenarios catered for, and even the use of Accy's ground in the future should any of the planning fail at the COA. Our current drains work. Additional drainage is being added! The problem was the $h1te beneath the turf would not allow excessive rain to drain. Who put that $h1te there? Not commented on by our current directors but we know. There is so much work going on, later in the evening under floodlights. All paid for by the Ogden's
We know charlatans when we see them. We've rooted them out and kicked their backsides out of the COA.
The Ogden investment in the club is the real deal. UP THE DALE.
