Walsh should be screaming keepers ball and claiming that all day long. Just dive on top of the thing and if any Wrexham player puts a foot in it's a free kick to us (in theory, although with that ref who knows). Ends 2-2 and we go home with some sanity maintained. |

I suppose legally any pub can open at 11am, but obviously each establishment can choose when they feel like it any time after. Just feels like years ago any pub could be relied on to be open from 11; I suppose landlords are bunch of workshy layabouts these days |

OK so looking at the last four minutes again, it seems RND had moved over to right back, assume Field went to left back. In hindsight would have been a good idea to keep hold of that 89th minute corner. But Kone hits the bar, keeper takes the ball and the next passage of play leads to the red card. Even at 2-2 we had chances to properly clear the ball, Kolli had one but only got as far as their defender on halfway. Then before Bennie sliced his for their winner, Walsh had the chance to grab the ball and eat up the remaining seconds. OH WELL. [Post edited 26 Jan 15:50]

I think the fact no one seems to know who went to right back after Mbengue's dismissal, speaks for itself! But as Mbengue left the pitch, Dunne and Kone were in deep discussion with the manager as to what to do next. What was communicated was either the wrong strategy, or the players failed to implement it. Fair play to Wrexham though who just targeted that flank as soon as we were down to ten men; we just didn't have the ability or fitness (...) to stop crosses coming in, which we couldn't then clear effectively either. Hence the goals conceded. |

The Football 86 album was as good as it got. Those badges were lit. |

Thank you. Well put. Everyone screaming for Edwards to be playing when no one knows exactly his fitness levels. As you say better he is gradually eased in rather than rushed into the team and then he does get properly injured... For all that I do hope he is fit to start on Saturday! Although if we have to go with Field and Cook at CB that would not be too terrible. |

Not really sure what you expect but we've basically been the same for the last ten years in this division. Of course we'd all like that to improve, but if you keep swapping managers every 18-24 months or less, nothing is going to change. |

Hmmm I'll need to have another look but if that was the case then fairly clever really if he got away with that. I just thought Walsh didn't deal with the ball properly. Then again for our second goal Kone seemed to be clinging on to two Wrexham players, hence why Cook was totally unmarked to score. Sh1t refs, swings and roundabouts. |

The third goal the ball swerved back towards Walsh right at the last moment and seemed to go through him. Shame because on the whole I thought he had a good game and had made some good saves. But it was a terrible flap that led to the second goal. Seems none of our keepers are especially good with crosses. |

Indeed Dave I'm not sure what people expect from manager (or player) interviews. They're media puff pieces, if you want warts and all honesty then you need to look elsewhere. It does feel like making substitutions is a bit of a weak area for the manager, but he'll make mistakes just like anyone else. Of course one bad result and everyone is questioning if he should be our manager - sure because changing managers at our club every five minutes really helps... In the end it was four minutes of madness, the players need to take responsibility for that, and it wasn't for a lack of seniority on the pitch at that point in time! |

Cheers Clive. Great game for the neutral...and at least we did our bit for more exposure on the TV show. Of course the result was bloody annoying. But looking back it's one game out of 46, as mentioned before we're not consistently good enough to bother the top ten (or top half?) of the table, so I don't think it's massively going to affect where we end up come May. Hint - it's probably 16th. I'll try and focus on the positives from the first half; it was great having Vale start, Madsen was very good throughout, Morgan's energy was a definite bonus (just needs to improve with the ball). Hell even Dembele did alright for once. Coventry next. Assuming that Dunne will go to RB and we can only hope Edwards is fit enough to start with Cook. |

Not so surprising given we haven't played for there for some time; will be a new ground for quite a few. Decent stadium too. |
