My Top 5 Spotify Songs Of 2025
at 08:44 5 Dec 2025

Proper old school 'work ethic' band. Tour lots, promote their own material and do what they can to reduce costs to their fans. They normally do Southampton every couple of years. Caught them at Papillon this year and Joiners back around 2021. My mate trundled up to the Garage (Islington) a month or two back but I declined having seen them, and it being a bit far on that occasion.....

According to Amazon Music, my top five artist 'played' this year are:

1) W. H. Lung
2) James
3) Bodega
4) Home Front
5) The Holy

The new Home Front album is top drawer - fingers crossed they come over from Canada and do a few UK dates / gigs. Won't ever get to see The Holy now as they have split up (and even if they did a show would likely be in their home country - Finland).

5 Things About Charlton
at 09:00 24 Nov 2025

1 - Drove up and tubed it across to London Bridge / overland to Charlton

2 - Only had one beer on the way in before travelling across London

3 - Personally love the away end with its portalloo style bogs and uncovered concourse. Proper old school and non sterile.

4 - The general view is fine but not being able to see all of the goal is a big naff.

5 - Surprised so many stayed as long as they did.

6 - Drive home was slow and idiots doing the usual hog the middle lane

7 - A good day out

Exactly why did Dragan waste his time buying Saints then one wonders.....

Suspect £60m in the sky rocket and not a whimper from the Saints fans about our demise still ain't a bad little return, billonaire or not.......

He was probably referring to a young generation who live in Hampshire or Dorset and as yet, have no affiliation to a club through parents. When I was at school in the 80's I could name a couple of lads who went yo Dean Court regularly. Most were Saints fans by virtue of being in Divvie One. Naturally excluding those that were Scouse dud to winning everything.
