It would have to be on a one in, one out basis. We do have keeper and full back issues that need to be resolved, but that's for the summer. January is the season for overpriced panic buys, often of players whose contracts are near expiry. Better to be the selling club in that scenario.
Throwing resources at a play off push is also high risk - even if you make it your chances are still only one in four. |

I still wouldn't be betting on Sheff Utd finishing above us. They've gained a whopping one point on us over the last six games and there are 26 games left. |

True. But that puts Ipswich, currently one place above and level on points three points ahead. Of the six possible outcomes in tonight's relevant games four of them see us drop out of the top 6, and the two sides that need a win are both at home. |

This is a new phenomenon, isn't it? It's giving me kittens every time.
Keeper plays it straight to a defender on the D who is immediately closed down by two opponents, leaving him the options of a swift pass back or to a teammate on either side. One slip and an opponent is one on one with the keeper. Where's the advantage? Seems a barmy high risk, low reward move. And it's not just us doing it. |

Was having a laugh about this with my neighbour last night after the chap next to him missed the first goal because he'd gone to get something to eat. Never leave early we agreed, relating each of our stories about leaving early and missing result changing goals. |
