The Ligue 1 deal that fell through was Kolli. They were also pushing hard to get Morgan out on loan at the end of the window. [Post edited 9 Dec 18:42]

I mean what can he say really - ‘the CEO and his best mate the DOF don’t want me to play the kid and they’ve ruled him out until January when they can try and get rid of him’. The honesty of course would be great, but not exactly conducive to a good relationship with his bosses. |

Having an uncompetitive second car doesn’t help Verstappen as it means he has nobody to take points off competitors. It’s why Red Bull tried to get Norris a few years ago to be his wing man. As Newey and Wache have both said, they don’t build a car for Verstappen, they build a car to go as fast as possible which often means a car that’s hard to drive and harder to balance. Verstappen is just an alien in his ability to drive around issues. |

Not much to say but the obvious - Verstappen is miles and miles away the best on the grid and had no right being so close to the McLareen cars. One of the weakest F1 champions since Keke in the 70s. |

Wait, Australia professionally saw out the dead daytime session and put England in to skittle themselves in the twilight? Literally nobody could’ve seen that coming… |

There’s lots of things we *should* do… Margot Robbie *should* ditch her husband and marry me instead but here we are. In reality they’ll stall until twilight, put us in and have us 6/7 down by close. |

The Aussies are professional enough to just see out the daytime tomorrow and put us in at twilight to get skittles out for under 150. |

It’s quite embarrassing that Australia are going to comfortably 5-0 this series not because they’re some wonder team, but because they’re simply professional enough to do the job they’re paid for instead of wildly swinging at every ball and trying to convince everyone they’re having so much fun doing it. |

He’s fine - the point in the original post though was that if he was out of contract and in budget we should sign him. He’s not, we would have to buy him and he’s on a nice wedge. |

As he’s neither of those things he would indeed not be a good signing. |

With the proviso that learning Swedish is cheating as English is so prevalent you can start with Swenglish, the formal classroom stuff didn’t work for me, mostly as it was 99% focused on grammar and tenses. What worked for me was finding a tutor for 1-1 lessons. We grab a coffee and just chat about life which has meant focusing on more real life words and phrases which in turn improved my confidence massively. My Swedish consequently isn’t ’perfect’ grammatically but I can hold my own conversationally and professionally. |

With the accepted proviso that the clubs in a shambolic state when it comes to finding decent loans for players, I don’t think the Dixon-Bonner thing is *that* weird…. He got bombed out by a Swedish second division club and sent back to train alone in England, he failed trials at Carlisle and Halifax this summer, I’d say a loan to Morecambe is a good result all things considered. |

Yeah I’d included singing Edwards in January as a given as they will need a panacea but the idea that this bunch of lads who play like they first met in the line for the brothel will all turn out fine because ‘the eze money’ is still to be spent is unfortunately a fallacy. |

It makes you realise how Lyle Lanley sold his monorails to Brockway, Ogdonville and North Haverbrook…. You have Michael Frey gifted millions of pounds, Lucas Andersen announcing to his LinkedIn followers that having left QPR he has lots of offers but ‘no longer needs to play for less than he’s worth’, Kolli on a long term, punchy contract banished and yet most supposedly don’t care about details of what we are committing to whom. And you can guarantee that ‘the socials’ will be full of people demanding we blow ‘the Eze money’ on the next panancea striker every window for the next 5 years. Yet point out that this money is gone and *this* is what we got and you’re deemed as simply negative. |

In reality Nick there are at least half a dozen posters on here who know exactly what has gone on and would happily air it out but haven’t as we have been asked not to put it on the messageboard and respect that request. Which then creates a sticky scenario because your point about saying nothing if you can’t say everything is probably fair, but at the same time you have people saying ‘well he should just work harder and he’d be playing’ at which point - in my opinion only - it becomes important to state that whilst you can’t go deep into details, he isn’t being left out for performance/ability reasons, at a time when we have lost 3 in a row… |

No point typing out again the whole background, but yes, Kolli is done at the club, there is *a lot* more gone on behind the scenes that really cannot be posted online and no, neither party is blameless.. Kolli Sr has been extremely naive posting online about goings on, albeit on private social media accounts that weird parasocial fans have ‘friended’ him on, but ultimately the way certain club leadership have acted towards them - and continue to act - has been disgraceful and stems, as so frequently right now at QPR, from bruised ego. Saddest part is that Kolli wants to be here, is by all accounts a good kid and he is popular with the rest of the squad so, again as is routine now at QPR, it’s cutting off your nose to spite your face. |

The saddest part isn’t being beaten by Ipswich - every player in their starting lineup would get in our team, it’s not a surprise. The sad part is that this is it for us. The Eze money is now blown and we aren’t going to be getting another £10m or so to play with this generation so it’s either this group very quickly matures into a team that can go toe to toe with a point exactly world beating Ipswich or we just accept our fate now as a perennial Championship relegation battler/League One bouncing club, without that mystical carrot of ‘eze money’ glittering in the horizon as a one off chance to get out. |
