I’m not particularly a Cullen fan good or bad, but thought he played well when he came on Saturday. He just kept things simple, Leon style.

This was Eom’s tackle by the way, and it was great to see the Matos reaction 👍

All that mattered today was 3 pts.
If the players didn’t show 100% commitment to the badge today, after countless gutless performances, I wasn’t going to be bothered to use my season again. If they couldn’t be bothered, why should I ?
We edged our way into the game, with Eom doing what wingers should do, create a bit of havoc, and get you off your seat, plus showing commitment with a great sliding tackle on the halfway line, Which made me think, imagine we had 2 wide players creating havoc, that would bring Vipotnik more into the game, and create more shots.
But our other wide player is Ronald. He absolutely does my head in.
Why haven’t successive managers made him write a hundred lines of…
“I must not fall over when an opponent breathes on me” and …
“I will try and take on an opponent” and…
“I will not kick the ball straight at an opponent when crossing the ball”
Surely when we are staring relegation in the face we have to look at all our options out wide, like bringing back Wilson and Congreve ?
The old adage of “If you’re good enough your old enough “ still rings true.
Concerning the game, Stamanic was playing really well and looked like he wanted to stamp his authority on the game. Widell was looking to take the ball on the half turn, which provided more passes forwards, which made us look more direct than of late. Add to that the all round footballing brain and skills, of already the player of the season Galbraith, plus Franco making a nuisance of himself, we were looking more of a unit.
Having said that, for what ever the reason Cabango and Burgess look less of a unit as the games go by. Late on Oxford had very good chance when Romenij‘s shot was stopped by Vig’s outstretched foot. Both Cabango and Burgess more or less got in each other’s way, but you can’t blame their commitment to the team, it just seems like a loss of confidence issue, which goes through teams that are struggling like us at the moment.
Overall an improvement, but still lots to do to be more consistent in playing through the pitch, to create more shots and chances.
I just hope the work permits issue is resolved asap, because the basement battle clock is ticking, and Matos needs all the help that’s possible.

I feel I have to say this, after watching utter $hit from them for weeks and weeks.
If the players don’t show proper commitment for the shirt on Saturday, especially with a new manager and hopefully his assistants, then it’s getting close to loosing the faith.
I’m sick to death of watching Ronald McDonald not beating a man, and kicking his “cross” straight at whoever’s in front of him.
Key giving the ball away, not covering back, and when he does, he’s the wrong side of his man, leaving a huge space where he should have been, EOM getting pushed off the ball
The general schoolboy defending by our defence, midfield not controlling midfield, and last but not least no (or hardly) any shots at goal. IE. WBA 26 us 3.
FFS give us a win !!

I think you’ll find there is someone else to blame.
The owners and the board, for employing them in the first place.

The buck stops with the people who employed him in the first place.

If he coaches Ronald to actually take on a player, and cross it successfully into the box, he will be a football genius.

A winger who can’t take a man on, or can’t cross a ball.
Not a good combo ! 😩😩
He should be the first one out the door
Why he was practically the first name on Sheehan’s team sheet, says it all why he’s gone.

We are taking one hell of a risk bringing in a manager and 3 assistants, with very limited knowledge of the league they’ve signed up for.
At this moment in time we are in a relegation battle.
Good luck to them doubling, or is it trebling their wages, who wouldn’t ?and obviously we all wish them nothing but the very best In trying to sorting this mess out.
I know this sounds a bit dramatic, but could this be the last throw of the dice as far as investors are concerned?
They’ll hardly want their names associated with failure, and the hiring and firing that’s been self evident since they became involved with Swansea City fc.
How did the owners and board become so successful in their businesses, when they make so many basic footballing intelligence mistakes, when it comes time to running a professional football club ?

This from O’Dear ….
“I have just left the dressing room and my only thoughts are with the players, who gave everything today,” he said.

“There is a lot of talent in that dressing room and I am sure that whoever takes charge the future is bright.

It will be interesting to see how he does if he’s the manager in his next job.

Isn’t it a little bit sad that Alan Sheehan has all of a sudden just been, in the new parlay “cancelled” from everyone’s thoughts.
He seemed such a nice guy, and seemed to have an affinity for our club, spoke well never slagging anyone off. Plus turned things around after Luke Williams lost the plot.
It was Sheehan in addition with the new owners backing the manager for a change, (by spending a few Bob on players) that made me buy a season ticket again.
Such a same it all went t*ts up.
But as far as I’m concerned he carried the flag well for Swansea City, albeit for not very long.
Thanks Alan you were a gentleman, and would love to know what your thoughts were on you short tenure, when it’s time for your biography.
Once a Jack, and all that.

I’ve just had a lightbulb moment to solve our new manager problem 💡
Tiki taka football has had its day. Even Liverpool are playing the occasional “long” ball from the keeper, that ball that is hit low, with pace, to runners out wide that catch opposition defenders by surprise.
To add to that, the long throw is the new genius idea by most premiership teams.
So there you have it, the new manager we need is (I think) currently unemployed, so NO compo to pay ! and would probably come cheap.
I give you sir, Mr TONY PULIS !

…..I’ll get my coat.
