Just watched this. The commentary was fine and evenly balanced. The analysis however was 100% West Ham, this game, their worries and concerns and poor old Nuno! No opinion whatsoever about the Rangers, this performance, our worries and problems or our manager. Hardly the balanced reporting the BBC aspire to! |

The Pompey manager said on his in house interview that their first half is the best they've played all season. From my armchair they looked very good to me. Yes we were poor with the ball but didn't have a lot of it. Their goal had an element of good fortune in that I felt Hamer's view was blocked and he couldn't see it coming. |

Disagree. Tyler is a brilliant commentator. When I lost the picture I still knew where the ball was. Co commentary invites discussion which kills commentary. I think that the commentary is the same one as used for sound only. I remember one game when the ball went out for a goal kick at one end. The next mention of where it was came after it went out again at the other. In between nothing. |

My dad was born in 1887. Moved to London in 1903 and first saw the Rangers at park Royal circa 1905, when lodging in Horn lane Acton. My son, grandson and great grandson will all be supporting in the future. I first got hooked with my dad in the '46/47 season. [Post edited 23 Sep 2025 8:54]

With those number/positions you are really back to the good old days. 10 Don Mills 8 Cyril Hatton 6 Ivor Powell 4 Albert Smith (I think). 9 My namesake Bert Addinall. [Post edited 18 Sep 2025 16:11]

Any Ideas from the locals among you? I have found Gazzab at 245 Goldhawk road but it shows as the Park House on Google maps. All suggestions welcome. Coming down from Norfolk for the Bristol City match. Thanks in advance. |

The club owned Hampden park until they sold it to The S F A in 2020. They still play there now. |

I left there in '53. At that time the balls were so heavy that Bannan's shot could not have happened. Many more goalmouth scrambles though back in those days usually in mud baths. |
