I feel that two players came of age today, Kolli who didn’t look out of place against a PL defence and caused them plenty of problems, and Joe Walsh, two outstanding saves and by the end looked quite comfortable with those inswinging crosses. Shame we didn’t have our best team out as I reckon we would have turned them over.
If I recall correctly we were looking at closer to £6million in the summer so £4.5million is a good buy. Spread over five years, which is now the maximum for amortisation calculations, assuming we have agreed this length of contract adds £900k to the debit column on the balance sheet. With the players we have signed in the last six months, such as Kone, Burrell, Saito, Poku and even potentially Mbengue, coupled with the younger players such as Morgan and Kolli we only need one of these players to fetch big money and all costs are covered.

If possible use the A3 to get down. I’ve been sharing my time between MK and the Fareham area for much of the last couple of years now and the motorways have been a real nightmare. First there was M3 widening from the A34 junction to the M27 junction on the M3. Once this was completed they decided to overlay the existing concrete surface between junctions 5 and 7 on the M27 which is now near completion and now thus is finished they are rebuilding the A34/M3 junction.
Last home game of the 2000/01 season against Stockport. We were down and all but seven players were out of contract. Peter Crouch won every award going and it was obvious that nobody wanted to play in that match other than Crouchy. Lost 3-0 and we were lucky to get nil that day. That was the day for me that the club had hit rock bottom.

Was walking ain’t Blomfontein when I heard Pigbag strike up and a couple walked passed me saying ‘well that’s one at least!’ I looked at my phone to see who scored and couldn’t believe that was in fact the equaliser! Best thing though is that Liverpool are starting to implode. After spending nigh on half a billion obscene pounds on a few players and unsettling Isak to the extent that he all but went on strike it is a pleasure to watch them lose or struggle to beat promoted teams.
Just had a look on the BBC website for top scorers in the Championship. Currently Burrell is tied fourth but what really is impressive is his shot conversion rate at 32% (2nd) and his shot accuracy at 64% (1st).
