 | News Comment | Southampton V Hull City The Verdict at 11:54:15
An interesting article, some of which, many will be in agreement with. It does start with mistakes made once, twice, three times a week. Manning cost at least a goal a game. He is at best a poor defender and not that great going forward. So as a wing back NO. Wood poor quality defending also leaves the rear vulnerable. Up front we have to have some sort of target player to hold up play for the midfield to join. Currently our possession in our final third results in giving the ball away on the halfway line. Mr Eckert does not seem to see the midfield running back and forth, chasing shadows. His five man back line is wrong, wrong, wrong. His front line the same. Mr Spors needs to tell him what 30,000 people are saying.....before its too late. |
 | News Comment | Southampton V Millwall The Verdict at 20:48:21
Humbly I believe that just looking at the starting line up tells you everything you need to know. A CB who is league 1 at best, a left back who should have been left back, at home. A strike force that couldn't force an unlocked door. And a midfield that is unable to be dominant against a one man midfield. Sorry Tonda, my opinion is change your style or face the fate of Russell Martin. Lose the crowd, the dressing room and finally your job |
 | News Comment | Southampton At Millwall The Verdict at 09:56:18
I thought that substitutions were to blame for Saturdays loss. Jander and Manning were both struggling so after scoring felt two changes were needed. Welington and Romeu. Millwall played us off the park for most of the second half and we did well to get that second goal, and when Aribo probably the worst player we have came on I felt the game was gone. Hopefully Tonder learned a big lesson. |
 | News Comment | A Big Decision Week For For Southampton FC at 13:11:44
Maybe I'm wrong but we work hard to score one goal and both midfield and defence go into relax mode. That's Still's job to motivate the players to intensify pressure to increase a one goal lead to two or more, That does not happen. If you manager watch you see little or no reaction to on field mistakes or successes. His tactical nowse is a little limited and when substitutions are called for...and often are, his timing and choices are a little lacking. He needs to learn from these errors, bite the bullet and apologise for them publicly and change his ways. Xmas would be my deadline to start seeing that but if there is no response SR should order the taxi. |
 | News Comment | Training Camp In Spain Will Reveal Will Still's Thinking For The Season at 10:27:31
With 40 + days before the season starts SR must know who does NOT want in on the project and they must be the first cull of both the unwanting or unable to play championship football. That will is a big reduction and Will Still can work on that. It no use having a player in the side that wont give 100% for his shirt. |

🔴 Southampton Summer Blueprint: A Fan’s Tactical & Transfer Strategy for Will Still’s Revolution As Will Still ushers in a new era at St Mary’s, here’s a supporter-led roadmap that balances smart spending, tactical clarity, and promotion ambition—without bankrupting the rebuild. 💸 Spending Strategy (based on ~£50–60m income from sales) • Invest £18m this summer: ◦ Glen Kamara (Rennes) – press-resistant anchor, leader in the middle ◦ Mathis Lachuer (CD Mirandés) – tempo-setter, Still-style metronome ◦ Reda Khadra (Stade Reims) – flair-heavy No. 10 to unlock deep blocks ◦ Damion Downs (1. FC Köln) – mobile, high-upside striker project • Reserve £40m for January: cover injuries, loan gems, or fuel a top-two push 🧱 Ideal XI (3-5-2 Variant) GK: Bazunu CBs: Bree – Harwood-Bellis – Wood WB: Wellington – Taylor MF: Kamara – Fernandes – Lachuer STs: Edozie – Downs/Bayo Khadra floats in as an alternate No. 10; Charles and Downes rotate in the engine room. 🪑 Bench: Young, Hungry, Flexible • Ballard – poacher, impact sub • Jay Robinson – fearless wide threat • Edwards, Larios, Taylor – LWB/CB cover • Kamari Doyle – technical spark • Two new midfielders (Kamara + UK-based engine) • GK: Adli Mohamed 🔄 Outgoings to Fund This • Armstrong, Aribo, Bednarek, Brereton Díaz, Ramsdale, Stephens • Fringe: McCarthy, Dibling, possibly B team loanees 🎯 Target No. 9 – Mohamed Bayo (Lille) • Big, physical, Ligue 1-tested • Proposal: £5m + Armstrong • Ideal foil for Edozie, fits Still’s press and hold-up philosophy This is more than a wish list—it’s a sustainable squad plan tailored to Still’s style: tactical options, youth progression, and Championship bite. If Saints want to bounce back and build for the long haul, this blend of guile and grit could be the template. |
 | News Comment | Perhaps Most Important Appointment Of Summer At Southampton Imminent at 11:55:15
Saints were in turmoil themselves at the time after the departure of then CEO Nicola Cortese and Katharina Liebherr having to get back into the club and completely revamp it both on and off the pitch. The truth behind this story was she wanted the CEO position for herself. She did not share her fathers passion for the club with Nicola and was only interested in the "spend" clearly born out be her lack of any investment in the club. |

Trabzonspor are a team of penny pinching wasters. They want something for nothing all of the time. Thats the price take it or leave it. Or sell him at that price to Gotzepe just to cock a snoot at them |

Sorry Block8 but no compassion for a player that in MANY games has not shown any desire or passion to play for his shirt. He is not the only one and to be fair they too need to moved on. New season new manager lets hope brings new ideas and a new energy to our flagging club, |
 | News Comment | Southampton V Manchester City The Verdict at 12:12:01
Apart from Sulemana this game mattered to the team. To edge past the 11 point monkey on their back produced by a magnificent performance from all. Sulemana thinks he is better than the rest of the team and strolls about as if he were a better quality player. If I were SR he would be my first dump in Turkey player. Thats his level and attitude. |
 | News Comment | Southampton V Crystal Palace The Preview at 14:43:42
Most fans have accepted the inevitable this season and many have trepidation about the next. It would be a good time for Solak to draw on the inspiration of the Liebherr/Cortese team that made Southampton successful in the eyes of the fans. Offer the fans the hope that somewhere is a 5/10 year plan with its main aim of being a good mid-tabled Premier League outfit. Southampton will never compete in the top six but should consistently in the middle half dozen. Get the football right and the rest will surely follow. |

Southampton fans saw passion and drive from Liebherr/Cortese partnership and that made SFC shine for the them. Would like to see Dragan team up with a real go-getter and produce the same atmosphere. That how to please the fans, |
