It's a hefty chunk of change when we already have the club captain, highest paid player at club (Cook), highly paid player (JCS), development project (Morrison), promising teen (Smith) who all play in the same position. I suppose Cook goes in the summer and the decision has been made that JCS simply cannot be relied upon. This is his 4th season with us now and he's been playing and injury free consistently for one of them. Still leaves us with Dunne, Edwards, Morrison, JCS and Smith... which is very very strong (and costing the club a fair wedge) |

Injuries happen and you can get unlucky for sure. But feels like we've contributed to this ourselves with a shocking pitch and mismanagement of Christmas which meant we couldn't rotate in our 'easiest' game of the season. If you want to be negative then Burrell missing 10-15 games until March and Poku missing 5-10 is really really bad news. If you want to be positive then Ilias Chair should be back in 3 or so games along with JCS. I don't think the sky is falling in as we have cover for Varane, Morrison, Poku and JCS. But I'm also worried that we don't really have anyone who can do what Burrell can do and will be asking a lot of Kolli and Bennie. I'd still be focusing on a 'passing' midfielder to ease the burden on Madsen who will end up going the same way if we aren't careful. |

Really poor today. A lot of players who've been run into the ground and we don't have the squad to rotate them. Meanwhile other players have been rotated out of any sort of form or rythm. Been poor since JCS went off at half time v Leicester. With just 2 in midfield we are v poor if we don't have anyone who can step up into the middle from CB |

No way. We need a keeper, but could probably struggle through with the 3 we have until the summer. I wouldn't even go for Ronnie Edwards. We have Dunner, Cook, JCS and Morrison at the club already. Why are we spending a chunk on Edwards when we can likely get him in the summer for cheaper when Cook goes. If a right back or left back option is available and fits the model we should do it. Also desperatly need someone who can play CM or else we will run Varane and Madsen into the ground |

I've been going to QPR since 92/93 and therefore should've seen almost all these goals, but I've managed to miss so many Jamie Cureton v Port Vale - Was a school night and think I missed their equalizer and our winner as we left on 90 mins Paul Furlong v Leicester - Was living in Israel for the year Paul Furlong v Luton - Had gone on holiday and missed the game Jamie Mackie v Liverpool - Was living in NY Dijibril Cisse v Stoke City - Still living in NY Jimmy Dunne v Birmingham City - My sons first game and he couldn't make it to the end Keiran Morgan - Wife had her Xmas party so I was babysitting You sit through all the shit and miss the great moments FFS |

I wonder if Sheff may have left themselves a bit much to do. Other than Cov none of the other Champ stalwarts have really grasped the opportunity to put distance between themselves and Ipswich who seem ominous and likely to pip Boro to 2nd. I think Boro, Saints and Millwall will be in the PO's with a complete bum fight for that 4th spot between about 10 different sides |
 | Forum Reply | QPR Development Pathway??? at 10:23 9 Dec 2025
Any winger/10/striker would have to be a generational talent to break in ahead of Kone, Burrell, Saito, Chair, Dembele, Poku, Vale, Smyth. I'm surprised we haven't seen more of Morgan in CM and that Tylon Smith hasn't been on the bench yet. However Moragn and Smith are both teenagers and there's lots of football for them to play |
 | Forum Reply | FA Cup Draw Monday Evening at 09:28 5 Dec 2025
Perhaps a draw that isn't absolutely rubbish would ignite some passion! The last 20 years have been some seriously slim pickings 2006 - Blackburn (a) 2007 - Luton (h) 2008 - Chelsea (a) 2009 - Burnley (h) 2010 - Sheff U (a) 2011 - Blackburn (a) 2012 - MK Dons (a) 2013 - WBA (h) 2014 - Everton (a) 2015 - Sheff U (h) 2016 - Forest (a) 2017 - Blackburn (h) 2018 - MK Dons (h) 2019 - Leeds (h) 2020 - Swansea (h) 2021 - Fulham (h) 2022 - Rotherham (h) 2023 - Fleetwood (a) 2024 - Bournemouth (h) 2025 - Leicester (a) Most fun out of that lot would've been Fulham at home... but it was Covid so the ground was closed. Chelsea away in 2008 was great tbf A winnable home game against a decent sized Prem opponent /rival hasn't happened in 20 years. (Bournemouth don't count... I mean c'mon) Meanwhile we've played Sheff U twice, MK Dons twice and Blackburn 3 times. We haven't even had a 'fun' away day... perhaps last year at Leicester counts Home to any of W. Ham, Spurs, Chelsea, Brentford Away to someone like Borham Wood, Sutton or Slough would be brilliant |
 | Forum Reply | New stadium for London at 12:11 3 Dec 2025
I think the only London clubs that appear 'stuck' are us and Chelsea Arsenal - New stadium in last 20 years Spurs - New stadium W. Ham - New stadium (although it's awful) Fulham - Huge redevelopment Brentford - New stadium Chelsea - Desperate to move as they can't expand Palace - Approved plans for redevelopment Millwall - Stadium is about 30 years old. No idea what they have planned Charlton - Decent sized stadium which they periodically update QPR - Cramped, atmospheric stadium that is falling down Wimbledon - New stadium Orient - Getting a new stadium Barnet - New stadium and plans afoot to move back to Barnet and build there Bromley - Stadium renovated less than a decade ago Still convinced the answer is to knock it down stand by stand and build a smaller, but better functioning stadium. If it seated 15k but had better facilities it would likely make more money |
 | Forum Reply | Isaac Hayden at 11:31 1 Dec 2025
The centre of midfield has been a disaster waiting to happen all season. Varane really not reaching the levels of last season, Madsen improving but not exactly pulling up any trees. Byond that we have Field, who is now a left back, and Morgan, who is now a right back, and an aging Hayden. If we make it through the season without getting sucked into a battle for relegation with hose 5 as our options then we've done very very well. It's where the money needs to be spent in this squad (and without selling anyone next summer I worry if we have the money to actually do it) |
 | Forum Reply | QPR - State of Play at 09:14 18 Nov 2025
Reasons to be positive: We have points on the board and aren't playing catch up already, which is nice after the last few seasons! There should be enough decent players (Dunne, RND, Varane, Chair, Saito, Poku, Kone, Burrell) to put together half a decent side that has a fun season before ultimately ending up 12th Reasons to be worried: Echo Clive's thoughts on the Nourry bots who seem intent on shouting down any criticism of the club. He's done some things well and some things badly, not sure why it's becoming this culture war. I don't think the youngsters are actually that good (Kolli, Morgan, Walsh and Esquardinha). They need to be out on loan and fast. The keeper situation is a farce, but easily fixed in Jan What I am hopeful for: Some fun. I'd give my left bollock for us to be 2-0 up by 50 minutes on Saturday and just be able to enjoy the afternoon! |

I do think the 'England fail whenever they play a top side' mantra a bit of a myth these days. In Euro 2020 we beat Croatia and Germany In Qatar we beat African champions Senegal In Euro 2024 we beat the Netherlands In Qualifying/Nations League games we've beaten Italy, Belgium and Spain We've lost to Croatia, Italy, France and Spain |

The amount this kid is spoken about is nuts. He's played 35 games and scored 5 goals with 2 assists. |
 | Forum Reply | Expectations for the rest of the season at 09:29 10 Nov 2025
Expectations are mid table. We should be 10th - 16th. We now have a lot of wingers/10's who cannot score and 2 strikers.... Issue is that Madsen and Varane behind them are patchy and their back ups are being used at full back because the recruitment was poor. Bit of luck and we finish 10th.... bad injuries and bad luck then we will be grinding out points here and there to finish 16th. Of course you stick a proper keeper between the posts, defence settles down, Varane and Madsen hit top form at the same time, Chair works in the 10 behind one of your decent strikers, you suddenly have a good Championship side... but that will rarely happen across a 46 game season |

This is why I'm convinced The Man They Call Coops will end up somewhere and walk to promotion. Nobody is actually any good! That Saints team that lost on saturday had Ronnie Edwards, Harwood-Bellis, Downes, Manning, Azaz and Armstrong all starting plus Joe Aribo and Tom Fellows on the bench. Any semi decent manager will be able to come in and start to rocket up the table when they post back to back wins against Rob Edwards Middlesbrough and Alan Sheehan's Swansea |
 | Forum Reply | Kolli at 11:16 3 Nov 2025
I'm just not sure Kolli is that good. He's not quick, he's not tricky, he's not strong... he just sort of exists in the forward positions |
