January transfer rumours
at 20:51 19 Jan 2026

I’m amazed he’s being sent out on loan given JCS is always injured. Cook will be released in the summer. I know Mbengue can play there but I was never convinced. So if either Dunne or Edwards get injured then we only have Cook to step in. Always thought Morrison was a decent player. Bit of a step down going to the SPL with Aberdeen.

Coventry fans say he has already signed for us. Assume it will be announced today or tomorrow. Not sure if he’s for the Development Team or First Team.

Alfie Lloyd recalled

Lloyd is definitely not good enough for this level. Hopefully we have a buyer for him. I wonder where Sutton is going? I’m a bit concerned with our options in attacking areas with all these injuries.

I suspect QPR have a buyer for Cooper. Might be time for Walsh to get a loan unless we can sell Nardi in this window. He’s out of contract in the summer.

Been before to West Ham. Knew to avoid Stratford. Straight out the away end and went a different way which we had lined up. Straight on a train and back home in West London in an hour from when the game ended. Will do the same next season.

This is from a Ranger who lives over that way…

‘That’s a good buy. High speed rail going in between Sydney and Newcastle ie - central coast. That area is a new massive young family growth area.’

We do seem to have tapped into the Aussie market since Nourry arrived. Perhaps the data is showing value over there? I can’t say I have seen too much of Bennie etc to think we will do well out of them. Maybe the club is shifting away from domestic players to ones from abroad?

RIP Alan Barnes
at 19:50 8 Jan 2026

RIP Barnsey. An absolute legend at QPR. He had an absolute encyclopaedic knowledge of QPR. You could ask him about any game, any player and he would answer in seconds. Had known him all my life. He was very much Mr QPR. You’d be hard pushed to find a bigger QPR fan than him. He was home and away going back to the 50s. He was at youth games, women’s games. He just loved QPR. Many fans will have great memories of him. Up there now with all his Rangers mates including my old man as well as Stan and all the other legends of our club who are sadly no longer here.

By where we sit in the Loft we have a lad next to us who is a season ticket holder from Norway and right behind me 2 from Dubai. All of them are regulars to our games. The Emirati was over for the Sheff Wed game and the Norwegian will be back over this weekend for West Ham. There’s a Finnish couple who are season ticket holders who are over all the time. Really nice people.

Weather has been no different to previous seasons. Why has it deteriorated so quickly? Worst I have seen it in many years.

Still nothing from the club explaining why our pitch is so bad compared to previous seasons. It’s definitely not a Championship standard pitch.

Nardi Hamer what’s that all about?

The club don’t reveal the length of contracts so we don’t know which month Hamer’s deal will end.

You can park in Westfield at Stratford. Maybe double check if you have to book in advance?

We do have a knack of putting centre backs at right back. Mbengue has done ok, but like Dunne it is not a long term solution. Even the left back position is an issue with RND’s fitness record. Can see major changes to the keeper and backline in the summer for next season.

I’ve been to the Olympic ground a few times. You can walk through the shopping centre to the ground or there is a walkway round the side of it. All I know is I never want to be in that type of ground in the future. Would have been great to be going to the Boleyn this weekend. Remember the South Bank there and the old Chicken Run.

Trains go back to Charing X / Waterloo area so anywhere around there and you’ll be fine after the game.

Our Pitch

There is also a women’s game against the London Bees in April to consider as well. If we progress in the youth cup, the Premier League Cup and get past West Ham in the FA Cup and get a home draw there will be more fixtures, plus potentially a play off semi final game if we continue to do well in the league. More pressure on the pitch.
