I thought the Ref was going to give us a penalty in the first half as he kept on getting involved in the pushing and holding before we took a corner.

If we aren't top ten next season and if we are still talking about fitness levels and injuries then Methodology should be shown the door along with Ben Williams.

As others have said every other team in The Championship has to deal with a crazy schedule at some point during the season and that our overall fitness levels have been questionable all season.

We discussed this issue at the end of November when we won at Blackburn on a Wednesday night and then got thumped at Norwich on the Saturday. One of the players, Mbengue?, posted that after the Blackburn game the team arrived back at Loftus Road at 3:30am and were straight in to the ice baths. I suggested then that perhaps we should change this routine, stay somewhere local after the game and travel back the next day.

Even so this weeks schedule is no excuse in my opinion. I would imagine Wednesday would have been a day off, some players may have felt a little weary on the Thursday. But by Friday these young, fit, professional athletes should have been feeling normal and ready for today's game.

Overall fitness played a part today and game management. Why waste a place on the bench if you have no intention of playing Edwards? After taking the lead he should have come on. This should be the last time Mbengue is given extended game time with a yellow card. Love the guy, one of best players but everyone knows the fiery, unpredictable side of him and this has to be MANAGED correctly.

Rusty is the correct word for Morgan. little game time lately.

Will forgive Smyth for his wasted chance, the ball took ages to come down for him.

Just another clean sheet then lads.

Can't agree it does nothing Clive. We go to Oxford buoyed by a very hard earned point and a clean sheet from a game many were expecting us to lose.

Playoff's? Behave.

Next season, when Julien and our young squad has a year in The Championship under their belts, I am expecting an increase in consistency and a decent challenge for a play off place.

Agreed.

I don't care about the game stats, who people think played badly.

The team worked bloody hard, kept concentration and shape and despite all of our injuries got a point at in form Stoke.

Great stuff. Urrssss!

No conceding early in the second half, concentration and keep our shape.

I guess the fun will come when we start making the inevitable substitutions.

If we had been able to keep the starting 11 together for a lot longer I think the result might have been different.

I was watching with my brother in law, a big West Ham fan, and we agreed on Bowen, should have influenced the game more.

We know we won't see the same performance levels unfortunately, teams lift themselves for these games. The prime example being Plymouth who beat Liverpool in the cup last season and reverted to type straight afterwards.

We would have won, I have no doubt that, Burrell would have caused them many problems.

West Ham gave a poor showing today as a Premier League side with Summerville being the difference between the two sides, Bowen was very quiet.

Pleased that Ronnie didn't play today bearing in mind the injuries we were picking up.

Dunne and Cook were immense today I thought, I usually smile when people write Cook off on here and seem pleased that he might not be around next season.
