QPR Reportedly Closing in On Bullard Signing

QPR are closing in on signing Town loanee Jimmy Bullard from Hull City, according to a report in one of today’s tabloids. Yesterday, Bullard was said to be in talks with Neil Warnock’s newly-promoted side, who were regular visitors to Portman Road during the 32-year-old’s successful spell with the Blues.

Hull City and the former Wigan and Fulham man are believed to be trying to negotiate a settlement of the two years remaining on his £45,000-a-week contract with Rangers unable to match those terms.

Bullard is understood to want a permanent move away from the KC Stadium but if his current contract situation can’t be resolved then he could again go out on loan.

Town boss Paul Jewell, who admitted at the end of the season that it would be difficult for the Blues to complete a deal which would see Bullard return to Suffolk next season, is said to be looking at other targets with the Blues believed to be very much in the running for Belgian international Faris Haroun's signature.
