Swansea look to make it ten in a row at home when Luton visit on Friday evening

It's little over a month since the Swans triumphed at Kenilworth Road.  At that point, victory for the Swans opened up a three point gap in the table from Nottingham Forest and few could have seen how so much could change in just six weeks.  The Swans go into tonight's fixture with an eleven point advantage having taken 20 points from the 8 games since that victory over Luton.  Pretty much everything has gone our way in the league during that time to the position of dominance that we have now.

On the other hand for Luton, things couldn't have gone any worse.   Well, they could but not much.   Six defeats and a draw in their seven games since that result on January 12 with just six goals scored and seventeen conceding - this is one of the biggest mismatches in terms of current form that you could get this weekend.   But complacency is not something that the Swans do at the moment and they will treat this with the same professionalism that they treated Doncaster and Forest in recent weeks and I firmly expect them to come out the other end of the game with three more points in the bag.

The Swans only setbacks in recent months have come in the cups with defeats to Newport, Havant and the McDons whereas in the league it has pretty much all gone our way with just one defeat in five months - a 1-0 reverse to Huddersfield at the Liberty.   Three more unbeaten in the league will equal a club record of nineteen and, whether anyone admits it or not, that will be a target that has been set privately in some areas of the club.

It is also nine successive home wins for the runaway leaders and all these statistics just point to another home victory tonight and, let's be honest, it's what we are all expecting at this point in time.

There is little doubt that Roberto will switch to his preferred home line-up this evening and I fully expect the side to start as follows

Rangel     Tate     Monk     Painter

Britton     Bodde     Pratley

Butler     Scotland     Robinson

Paul Anderson is more likely to feature on the bench at this point in time and I suspect that Shaun MacDonald may also have done his sub chances no harm with his performance on Tuesday night.

Luton are without winger Dean Morgan (groin), but Steve Robinson can play as a forthcoming one-match ban will not apply until the Hatters' next match.

Captain Chris Perry should be fit after a recent leg injury.

I really cannot see anywhere past a Swans win as I said earlier in this fixture.  Luton are in a downward spiral and destined for League Two whilst there seems little doubt that the Swans will be testing themselves in the Championship next season.  Could this be the night when the Swans go goal crazy?  Why not, I am also convinced it will happen at some stage this season so let's go for a handful.  5-1 Swansea.  (there is optimism for you)
