Fielding named in England U-21 squad

Dale keeper Frank Fielding has been named in the England U-21 squad for their European Championship clash with Greece next week, putting him at risk for our game with Rotherham.

Fielding has played for England U-21 on two previous occasions, and has been called up for the game against  Greece which takes place next Wednesday evening. The game takes place at Doncaster Rover's Keepmoat Stadium and will see Frank line up alongside household names such as Micah Richards, Victor Moses and Jack Wilshere.

Dale host Rotherham United next Tuesday evening, and you'd have to assume that he won't be expected to play two games in two days and will therefore miss the Rotherham game to allow him to play for his country.

Assuming Fielding is not allowed to play for Dale on Tuesday, then we'll have the services of Kenny Arthur to call upon, after his recent recovery from a slipped disc in his back.

The game is classed as a vital European Championship qualifier, with Greece currently the group leaders. Any Dale supporters wanting to pop along to cheer Frank on can get their tickets for the game for £10 for adults and £5 for juniors by ringing 01302 762 576 which is the ticket office at Doncaster.
