Fabio Borini will take a little piece of Swansea with him in his heart as he heads back to Italy

Borini played a big part in Swansea City's promotion to the Premier League before it was confirmed that he had signed a pre contract with Parma back in February.

Scoring some vital goals he played a huge part on Monday in his last game for the club and he revealed that he would never rule out a return back in the future if the chance arose at the right time.

Speaking to the official website, Borini said "I will never forget Swansea, the club will stay with me in my heart because they really showed me love

"I really enjoyed my time at Swansea, the people there were really happy to have me and they helped me every day.

"Even when I went shopping in Sainsbury's, people stopped me and encouraged me and asked me to stay. It was a great atmosphere.

"And I cannot forget in my head the noise of the fans at Wembley and all the happiness we could see around us.

"I have pictures of Wembley on my laptop and I will never forget that day.

"I am really hoping Swansea do well in the Premier League and if I have got the time, I will come back to see some games,? said Borini, who won a key penalty for Swansea's final goal against Reading on Monday.

"In the Christmas break I will come to see them, hopefully it will be Swansea against Chelsea.

"I thought for a couple of hours after Wembley that I had a great opportunity to stay in Swansea and play in the Premier League, which I would like to do," he added.

"Maybe later in my career it could happen, maybe I can come back when Swansea are in the Champions League!

"You never know where you can end up. Maybe it's a missed opportunity not playing in the Premier League, but maybe this is a good thing for my career and will make me stronger.

"I have no regrets, Parma is quite a big club with a big programme for the future.

"Maybe I will do well there and I can come back to the Premier League later in my career."
