Saints At Wycombe The Preview

Saints have to continue the good work started at Norwich.

Saints make their first competitive visit to Wycombe Wanderers knowing that only a win will be good enough as they look to consolidate after beating the top side in the division by doing the same to the one second from bottom.

Put bluntly at the moment Saints are only one loss away from their promotion hopes being completely squashed and its games like this that have cost them dearly in recent weeks as the Chairboys are sure to scrap hard on what is likely to be a very heavy pitch due not only to recent rain but the fact its also used for Rugby.

At this stage all Saints can do is get three points in the bag and keep doing so and hope that the contenders for that sixth spot mess up.

I wouldnt expect Alan Pardew to make many changes from the side that beat Norwich, nor to change the formation, we have to also keep the same attitude, at Brentford & Exeter we went wrong because we allowed oursleves to be hustled out of our stride, this cannot happen again and we have to boss the game from the first to the last whistle.

If Saints can win the promotion chase is still on, sadly anything less and the league season will start to head for a disapointing finish.
