Manchester City 3 Swansea City 0 - How The Players Fared Sunday, 1st Dec 2013 18:39 It's time to rate the players as the Swans are beaten at the Etihad by Manchester City. Do you agree with our ratings and why not submit your own? Manchester City 3 Swansea City 0 - Player RatingsGerhard TremmelI don't think there is anything worse than seeing a goalkeeper motionless when a goal goes in but let's not be too harsh on him for this one as it was a quality strike. Was unable to do anything about either goal from Nasri and I though Tremmel commanded his area well. 7 Dwight TiendalliDoesn't offer us the same attacking option that Rangel does but is a solid enough defender. If he is to have a long term future at the club I would like to see him flow more when he is joining in with the attack as he does seem to slow it down a little. 6 Ben DaviesJust another typical Ben performance. Never looks out of place at the back but is getting more and more of an attacking threat almost game by game. Thought he gave away a couple of needless free kicks though in attacking situations but nothing wrong really with his performance. 7 Chico FloresA quieter game from Chico but as with Ash they played well at the back and dampened much of City's attacking threat. Having said that I thought he was dragged out of position a couple of times but against good teams like City it is probably harsh to be too critical on that 6 Ashley WilliamsAsh is a rock at the centre of our defence and just does what he does quietly and consistently. Always happy as well to start up an attack with some good control of the ball. 7 Jose CanasA strange one as I don't think he really played that well but I have seen others say that they thought he was right in control of the game. I'm not sure he would have played had Leon been fit and he didn't seem to get the tackle in in the way that we would have liked? 6 Jonjo ShelveyControlled the midfield in the first half and was desperately unlucky not to get a goal with a couple of long range efforts. Made one wrong choice in the second half when breaking through the midfield but an excellent game from Jonjo and my man of the match 8 Jonathan De GuzmanIf only, if only, if only he had scored that chance at the end of the first half I think we could have sneaked something today but he didn't and the rest is history. Will be rightly criticised for that but I hope it doesn't detract from what I thought was a good performance from JDG 7 Alejandro PozueloDidn't really get into the game I didn't think today. I really wish we wouldn't play him in a wide position he doesn't look half as dangerous and drifts in too much to be in his normal position? 6 Pablo HernandezA good game from Pablo and nice to see him back again in the starting line up. Could have had a penalty in the first half but it would have been one that you wouldn't expect to give and he missed a couple of chances. Let's hope he stays fit though as we need Pablo in the team 7 Alvaro VazquezHugely disappointed in him today. He didn't really seem to offer a threat and blasted wide in the first half when well placed. If this is his level of performance the sooner Michu and Bony are fit the better? Having said that there must be more to come and maybe a run in the side will do him the world of good 5 Wayne RoutledgeDidn't really get a massive impact on the game after coming on. Has some nice touches and we know he is dangerous but it didn't happen for him today 6 Nathan DyerDitto Wayne Routledge 6 Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
