G.M's Match Preview: Rams Must Capitalise On Wolves Woes
Saturday, 27th Feb 2016 06:31 by George Martin

Derby will hope to make it a perfect week with 3 wins inside 7 days as they travel to Molineux to face an out of form Wolves in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

Recently when Derby finds themselves in front of Sky’s cameras, their results have been poor and when visiting Molineux, recent results have been nothing to write home about either.

This time around the home side are well and truly out of form not having won in 7 matches (3 draws, 4 losses) and are missing key players through injury. In contrast the Rams have finally kick started 2016 with their first two wins of the year coming back to back under new boss Darren Wassall.

Derby's resolute back 4 will remain the same but Ince could come in for the hard working but largely ineffective Russell. Hanson gives energy, bite and quality to the midfield so the fit again Thorne may have to settle for a place on the bench.

Hendrick and Butterfield will continue in front the holding midfielder with Martin likely to continue up front in the lone striker role even if Bent has recovered from illness that kept him out midweek.

With a crippling injury list that includes Zyro, Graham, Edwards and Dicko, Wolves Manager Kenny Jackett may introduce Jeremy Helan to the starting 11 immediately after the winger arrived from Sheffield Wednesday this week on loan.

Prediction:

Wolves are on the slide and Derby must look to capitalise on their woes. The quality in the final third needs to be good and chances need to be taken.

Despite Wolverhampton being in poor form, it is likely to be a tight game.

Derby could struggle considering they have not overly been convincing of late and with a run of results required, nerves may kick in if things are not going their way.

A 1-1 draw, but hoping Derby sneaks a hard fought 2-1 win.
