Refwatch: Plymouth v Dale
Friday, 22nd Feb 2019 10:00 by TVOS

Experienced referee Chris Sarginson is the referee for Dale’s long trip to Plymouth on Saturday.

Mr Sarginson is in his 11th season on the league list and Saturday will be his 14th Dale appointment.

We first saw him for a 1-1 draw at Lincoln in October 2008, while his most recent Dale game was just over a year ago when we lost 3-2 at Bristol Rovers.

In 2016/17, Chris sent-off THREE Dale players in two games, with Callum Camps being dismissed for two yellow cards against AFC Wimbledon at the Crown Oil Arena and Joe Rafferty and Donal McDermott seeing red in a 3-1 defeat at Peterborough.

Talking of Peterborough, Sarginson refereed their game at Plymouth earlier this season and presided over a 5-1 win for the visitors. Something similar would be nice on Saturday…

Chris’s full list of Dale games is:

Oct 08 Lincoln (a), D 1-1

Feb 09 Macclesfield (a), W 1-0

Aug 09 Sheffield Wed (a, LC), L 0-3

Feb 10 Bradford (h), L 1-3

Dec 11 Yeovil (h), D 0-0

Feb 13 Barnet (a), D 0-0

Nov 13 Chesterfield (a, JPT), L 0-3

Mar 15 Scunthorpe (h), W 3-1

Nov 15 Swindon (h, FAC), W 3-1

Aug 16 AFC Wimbledon (h), D 1-1

Feb 17 Peterborough (a), L 1-3

Sep 17 AFC Wimbledon (a), D 0-0

Feb 18 Bristol R (a), L 2-3

On Tuesday Mr Sarginson was in the middle for Accrington v Oxford, which was his 34th game this season.

He has shown 101 yellow cards and four red in those matches.
