Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Poor in all areas after a good opening spell, when Chair looked lively, and Adomah put in some good crosses. After the pen + red card Rs played with some spirit and didn't look a beaten team until the third goal went in. But even when playing (relatively) ok it was hard to see where a goal was going to come from (is it 6+ hours now) and hard to believe our defenders would concentrate, mark and tackle effectively for an hour.

Seng did all that could be asked of him. His good work and poor finishing by Barnsley kept the scoreline down.

This time last season we had Hugill, Wells and Eze as well as Grant Hall. We have to be realistic about what we can expect. There's going to be a lot of pressure on the coaching staff, and I don't just mean Warbs. Who is working with Dickie on his positioning and the rules of the game - no tugs or hands? Who is working with the midfield on accurate passing and breaking up attacks?

We saw against Bournemouth that there is a core of a decent (not great) team there and although Amos is out and maybe BOS, most of these players have potential. We also know QPR are always capable of surprises. Three points on Saturday anyone??

But I think it's going to be a long hard season.
