Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers says he would consider signing Town striker Jason Scotland on loan, if he became available. However, the Northern Irishman is yet to make an approach for the 31-year-old former Swan, who joined the Blues from Wigan in the summer.
Rodgers said: "He is someone who had two fantastic years here and scored a lot of goals. Everyone knows Jason’s qualities and if he became available for a loan we would have to consider it.
"There was a possibility to buy him in the summer, but we didn’t have that sort of money and there were other things we needed to look at at the time at the club. But he is certainly a player that could be interesting.”
The ex-Watford and Reading manager says he has as yet made no move for the Trinidadian: "I don’t know what the situation is with him because I’ve not asked the question. Maybe it’s a case that he wants to play, but I’ve not spoken to anyone and he’s an Ipswich player.”
Elsewhere, former Blues boss Roy Keane has been somewhat speculatively linked with the manager’s job at Sheffield Wednesday currently occupied by Alan Irvine.
