Dale have swooped in the transfer market to bring in Macclesfield's young defender Matt Flynn after a defensive injury crisis in the first week of 2009-10.
With Rory McArdle already ruled out with his dislocated shoulder, Scott Wiseman suffering from food poisoning during the week and Marcus Holness picking up a knock at Sheffield, injuries were starting to take their toll already, and Dale boss Keith Hill could have been forced to play youngster Josh Brizzel on Saturday against Aldershot.
So with the Alfie and Lambert millions stashed away in a Swiss bank account, we've loosened the purse strings somewhat to bring in Matt Flynn from Macc on a month's loan.
The young defender has played most of his football at right back for the Silkmen, though he has been described by some Macc fans as being much more comfortable in the centre of the defence.
Flynn hasn't figured for the Silkies this season yet, but made around thirty appearances for them during the last campaign.
