Swansea v Leyton Orient - Preview

Home > Story Index >Leyton Orient Preview

Leyton Orient visit the Vetch Field with a point to prove on Saturday ( Kick off 3 pm ) Long serving manager Tommy Taylor has left the club after 5 years in charge. The O's suffered yet another defeat at home last week going down 4-2 to Shrewsbury Town who shared six goals with The Swans in an awesome 3-3 draw last month. Orient will want at least a point in their own personal relegation dog fight which should add additional spice to the fixture if any was needed. Colin Addison is two strikers down with Stu Roberts now a Wycombe player and Sidibe yet again out with a leg injury. Commenting on the current situation at the club Addison said " I was not consulted at any level on the sale of Stuart to Wycombe, that seems to be the way these days, and that hurt a lot. What they have got is a player any manager would want in their side, and far too cheaply too " Long term injury victim Jason Smith is reported to have said that Swans fans should not join in any boycott outside of the ground and get in to support the team on the day. Of course with fears of no wages at the end of the month this is to be expected to boost gate receipts, but after analysis of the money available to Petty maybe Smith should appreciate that each and every Swans fans decision during the current crisis should be respected.

Either way Saturday and Tuesday bring two home games and a Swans side desperate for maximum points on the pitch. And inside or outside you can be guaranteed that the heat is on as the club lurches from crisis to crisis.

The message is simple - Support is gathering and the message is clear.

We will not let The Swans die, because we are united !
