Crystal Palace loanee Alex Wynter has indicated that he would be happy to return to the U's if the opportunity arose.
Speaking to the Gazette, the 20-year-old said: "I loved my time at Colchester and if the opportunity arose to go back there, I would take it.
"The club are talking to my agent at the moment, I'm holding tight and waiting to see what happens.
"It was really good at Colchester and I enjoyed every moment of it."
Wynter's contract at Selhurst Park is due to expire this summer and Joe Dunne has already indicated that he would like to bring the defender back to the club, either on loan or permanently.
