New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? 12:06 - May 6 with 3680 views | qpr1976 | So after Skapetis, Shariff, Magri, Carreiro, Fitzpatrick & Monthe have all been relased, now 4 U21's have been offered 1 year extensions - Lumley, Gibbon, Sendles-White & Andrade. (See Offish) Which by my reckoning leaves Harriman, Sutherland, Hitchcock, Balanta, Brown & Laurent with contracts sets to expire next months and no news whether they will be released as well or offered new deals ? Particularly surprising for the first 3 IMO. I suspect Dellatorre will be sent home too. (I think Lennox, Furlong, Kpekawa, Wise, Donaldson, Comley, Mitchell & Pattie are contracted until 2015, Ehmer & Doughty until 2016 and Petrasso until 2017 now)
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 12:21 - May 6 with 3643 views | adhoc_qpr | Never really understood why Harriman hasn't been our back RB this season, i would deffo give him another year assuming we don't go up and maybe even if we do. Sutherland is always spoken of highly, but is coming back from a major injury and i've heard Laurent has done OK on loan in the conference.
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 12:28 - May 6 with 3617 views | qpr1976 | I've been very happy with Simpson - very consistant and one of our better buys. But I would certainly have kept Harriman as backup. I can understand why we might wait to see how well Sutherland recovers, but Hitchcock & Harriman still surprise me. As for Balanta, I've been surprised on a yearly basis for the last 4 seasons how he's still hanging around. I wonder what he's got on the Club ?

New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 15:59 - May 6 with 3445 views | qpr1976 | Not according to the Official Site, and I quote...... "Michael HARRIMAN Position: Defender DOB: 23/10/1992 Born: Chichester A PRODUCT of the R’s youth system, Michael Harriman was handed his senior Rangers debut during a League Cup clash against Rochdale in August 2011 before making his Premier League bow at Wigan Athletic just four days later. The hard-working right-back enjoyed a successful 20-game spell on loan at Wycombe Wanderers in 2012/13 before capping the season with an assured performance in the R’s final day trip to Liverpool. An Under-21 international with the Republic of Ireland, the young defender signed a new two-year contract with Rangers in the summer of 2012, keeping him at Loftus Road until the end of the 2013/14 season." "Frankie SUTHERLAND Position: Midfielder DOB: 06/12/1993 Born: Hillingdon YOUTH product Frankie Sutherland — with the club since the age of 10 — signed a two-year contract extension at Loftus Road in the summer of 2012. The set-piece specialist was a mainstay in the Elite Development Squad midfield last term, scoring four times from 19 appearances either side of a brief loan stint at Portsmouth. Sutherland captained Marc Bircham’s side for much of the 2012/13 campaign and has represented the Republic of Ireland at both Under-19 and Under-21 level."
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 16:16 - May 6 with 3405 views | adhoc_qpr | Missing the crucial word 'back up' in my comment, think Harriman should have been our reserve right back and watching Hughes play there hasn't changed my mind on that! I don't think any of the rest are likely good enough, actually surprised that Andrade got another year as i've seen him play a few times and he looks no more than a League Two player at best.

New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 17:00 - May 6 with 3321 views | simmo | He should have had a recall clause and been back playing while Simpson was injured. This season has been a real missed opportunity as far as giving younger players 1st team experience.

New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 17:01 - May 6 with 3320 views | Jigsore | Obviously yes but I think he was asking why we bought Simpson in the first place I think Harriman has been having better luck as a tenacious midfielder according to the Gillingham bloke I spoke to the other day.

New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 17:02 - May 6 with 3319 views | qpr1976 | Agree about Simpson Dave, although there would have been a window of opportunity when Simpson was injured for a couple of months if Harriman was retained as a backup and not shipped out on loan for the season.
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 17:06 - May 6 with 3304 views | qpr1976 | Indeed - Thanks. So where does that leave Hitchcock (and Brown, Laurent & Balanta) ?
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 17:23 - May 6 with 3251 views | daveB | I guess they thought if he didn't get injured it was a waste having Harriman in the reserves when we had Onoura to cover as well. Would agree it would have been good to see a few come though this year but not sure any of them are good enough sadly
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 17:28 - May 6 with 3240 views | qpr1976 | Mmmmm ! Equally sadly, I'm not so sure some of the ones we've brought in & played instead are good enough either.
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 20:24 - May 6 with 3144 views | derbyhoop | Brown was released. Isn't Balanta out of contract. I'm not surprised at those released. There's no point in keeping 20 year olds who aren't going to be good enough of all the names mentioned we'll be lucky if more than 2 make it.

New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 21:04 - May 6 with 3086 views | francisbowles | With regard to Harriman and Hitchcock, I don't think either of them have been outstanding in League 1, although they have had some highlights. Both, I believe, have not been automatic choices. So the club will probably be hesitant to offer them a new contract if they aren't reasonably convinced they have a future with us in the higher divisions.
New deals for 4 U21's, what about the rest ? on 21:08 - May 6 with 3076 views | olderR | Was the EDS final a last chance saloon for those subsequently released? I thought Magri looked better than Donaldson.
