Important Information for Blackpool fans about Judgement Day 17:19 - May 22 with 1376 viewsOFFICIAL_KNIGHTS

Important Information for Blackpool Supporters concerning the centre-circle occupation and other events surrounding the day and the lead up to it.

*PLEASE SHARE**

Tangerine Knights have been in discussion with Amanda Jacks from the Football Supporters' Federation (FSF). The following is joint advice and offer of help from both ourselves and FSF for anyone who should find themselves facing civil action from the club and/or any prosecution arising from the day or any other matters.

--------------------------------------

In the event that you are arrested you will be asked by the police if you would like legal representation. Always say yes, even if you think that you have done nothing wrong or the police tell you you have to wait.

A solicitor, known as a duty solicitor, will attend the police station free of charge and completely independent of the police. They will advise you on how to conduct yourself during an interview under caution.

In the event that you are charged and bailed, or bailed pending further inquiries, then contact Amanda Jacks of FSF on 07703 519555. Amanda will take your details and an account of what has happened to you. She will then refer you on to one of the most experienced solicitors in the country for football related matters for a free of charge telephone consultation. Amanda is happy to take calls outside of working hours.

Some fans thing they'll just get "it" over with and not bother with a solicitor or think there is no point in getting legal advice for various reasons. It could prove detrimental to your case - even if you think you've done nothing wrong - not to take advantage of free legal assistance.

In the event you are contacted by the police and asked to attend the police station for an interview, again contact Amanda directly for assistance. She can arrange a solicitor to be present at your interview.

As a general point, the consequences of a criminal record may last a life time and have many consequences in your personal or professional life. A conviction may mean you losing your job or not getting one; you may not be allowed to enter certain countries and criminal records should be declared to any insurers you have which could mean increased premiums. A record may hinder you doing voluntary work.

Protesting lawfully, which of course Blackpool fans have been praised for doing so by Lancashire Police, avoids these consequences.

In addition the FSF are in the fortunate position of being able to advise fans in civil as well as criminal matters.

So, in the event that anyone receives a letter from the club threatening civil action of any type, again get in touch with Amanda before doing anything, for some free of charge advice.

Don't forget we are all in this together.

Ironic the TangerineKnights who seemed very keen on unlawfully getting fans to go on the pitch on the last day are now offering this advice which includes this paragraph. Is anything worth your life being mucked up for the sake of a football club?

Firstly responsible of the TK to send that out but I tend to agree with BO and would be gutted for any fan who did encroach on the pitch who may pay a hefty price for it at a later date.
